After watching this guys, you would not believe what is actually going on in a Honduras. Apparently at the there is a military coup in Honduras funded by the US. The leader of this coup is also a drug trafficking, biofeuls magnet. Getting rid of all the farmers (and by "getting rid of" I mean destroying) in parts such as Aguán Valley, in order to expand his biofeul empire. Now thumbs up or thumbs down if you have completely no fucking idea what I'm talking about. It is truly... unbelievable

After high school, I went to Honduras for a month with Amigos de las Americas. We vaccinated livestock. Some families had only one pig whose meat would last them all year. If the pig died, the family would die.
One day my partner and I hiked to remote farms to vaccinate pigs. It began to rain.
A very old woman, smiling beautifully, gestured us onto the porch of her dirt shack. Then she brought us both tea in china cups. I felt like royalty.

The murderers were trained with American taxpayer dollars at the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC; formerly called the School of the Americas [SOA]), at Fort Benning, Georgia. They murder because American corporations, in league with ruling Honduran elites, wish to keep the Honduran people as cheap labor.
Honduras is definitely beautiful -- especially La Ceiba. I wish it had more to offer for the tourist. Personally I did like La Ceiba's festival. I wished they had something more family oriented in terms of a festival -- something like a Tropical Fruit Festival which they have in Costa Rica. So simple and I bet it would attract tourists from all over the world. As a fruit lover what a dream this would be.

Honduras is a beautiful country, but let's be real: most of the people is very poor, iliterate (often times rude), with high levels of violence and crime. The richer part of the population can't care less on how to help their fellow citizens. Poverty is eating up the country's natural and cultural beauty (just look at the deforestation rate at UNDP's stats, as an example). I hope the educated and richer hondurans could do more than just watching cheap TV entertainment
My God, Honduras is truly beautiful!! Shame that I went there twice and yet saw so little. Got to see parts of Progreso and SPS, even Tela. Thank God we saved this beautiful land from Chavez's evil hands, who knows what would've happened if we didn't remove Zelaya when we did? Long Live Honduras!!!!
Honduras is a beautiful place. I have been to Ceiba and Roatan. Aside from the extreme poverty that afflicts 90% of the population, it is a beautiful piece of geography. Some of the most beautiful Caribbean landscape that most of the world knows nothing about.
I agree. Costa Rica is very much "Third world". If that guy is judging Costa Rica by the Pacific coast where all the US and European tourists are.....He is wrong. Let me take him through some parts of San Jose and over to Limon Province.
