this was a great tribute to someone who loved there job and made the UPS shine. I am glad to see that the idea to do that was approved by management. must be true what they say "the good die young"
To ALL you UPS Drivers....it's just asking for trouble posting a vid like this. as many vids of "bad" "horrible" drivers and delivery men/women you are,i'll just say.... if it was US customers in charge of delivering your "package" We'd Just lose it,or kick the casket around a lil or just launch it like a football or baseball across the yard like you do to our packages.
@Scarlettsmommy8486 you're a scumbag comparing packages to a person how are you even allowed into society......what is there like 50 vids of bad deliveries compared to millions of ups employees..I hope you realize that your post makes you look like absolute scum...
This is one of the weirdest and most pathetic thing I've ever seen. I worked at UPS for 5 years, and that was 5 years too long. This place sucks and all the management hates you.
very touching, A classy send off for someone who looked like they were truly happy doing what he was doing. Nice to see that the big wigs could look past everything and do something to give this guy the tribute he deserved.
Hope your route in heaven is nothing but smooth roads, sunny days and light packages.
Very touching. I'm a driver near Boston and I'm amazed that UPS allowed this, but yet so pleased they did. Always tough to lose a UPSer,but even tougher when it's a person who loves their job. Best goes out to everyone.
Wow. What a testament to this guy. I don't know him. But I sure know UPS. And for UPS to allow this is like. . . I mean wow. They hold thier image so close, they don't allow the UPS brand to be used or sold for anything. Anyone that's been around UPS a few years knows how protective they are about thier image. This just blew me away. Sorry for your loss. And apparently a loss to UPS as well. Rest in peace
Very touching, I am a UPS driver myself & think this is a cool way to go. Im glad management gave the ok for it to happen. RIP brother................
I want to apply to drive for UPS after I graduate in June, They say its brutal sometimes to be a delivery guy but I'm a conditioned athlete, Is this a good job to get into? I talked to a local UPS man and he said he had been driving for 2 years and made in the upper range of 55-60k a year! Keep in mind that I really want to do this because my sat scores maybe to low for college and I really dont mind driving at all!! PLEASE REPLY I NEED RESPONSES FROM DRIVERS!!!
@RedSoxNation92 well it takes alot to be a driver specially when delivering those packages that are over 70 pounds but its woth it and i like it since i been one in 2008 one thing lots of physical activity such as running and jogging.
@RedSoxNation92 you don't just get thrown in as a driver. You have to work part time for 5-8 years inside a hub. If you plan on living on your own without school, you'll need to work 2 part time jobs to get by. My advice, go to college and work at UPS part time while attending. It will give you more options. Although many of the drivers I work with have college degrees but still work at UPS because the money is better.
@RedSoxNation92 You should definitely apply. You'll have to work part time loading, unloading, or sorting packages first. And you don't get paid much to start. BUT the benefits are awesome when you finally get them. And as far as driving, it depends on what building (hub) you work in. Nearly every job in UPS is filled by seniority (how long you've been there) Here in Kansas City it averages about 3-5 years to be a driver. Good luck!
thank you! This is very useful information, I believe that in any job, or sport, or in life in general you need to work your way up, it makes you appriciate what you have even more
I'm a UPS driver from Colville, Wa. Been a driver for 33 years and I must say I was touched. All the drivers in Colville are like family and our thoughts and prayers are with Judy and her family. What a great way to be sent off. Much love and alohas from the Colville center.
