GSP is twice as a better wrestler than Chael and about 10X more technical on the feet and with submissions and defense. When was the last time you saw GSP get dominated or tired? Silva got dominated by Sonnen and was exhausted by the start of the 5th round with Demian Maia. This isn't a boxing match, it's MMA anythign can happen and its not just a striking game.

Silva fought forrest griffin. so he should be able to fight machida since they are in the same weight division. and silva actually can't fight gsp. they're in different weight classes. if silva moved down, he'd have less weight which he isn't used to, so gsp would win. if st. pierre moved up, he would have more weight which he isn't used to, so AS would win.

Silva was beaten in the start of his career when he had little experience. Frank Mir is great, but nowhere near Silva. Also, u might want to brush up on ur MMA. Mir was not undefeated before Lesnar. LOL. All these GSP nuthuggers are too much. When it comes to GSP vs Anderson Silva - Anderson is too big. Lets see 20-25 lbs of muscle. Best Striker in MMA and good enough wrestling and BJJ to negate the takedowns. Hell if GSP really wanted to fight Anderson he would of called him out. GSP knows there is no one left in the WW division for him anymore. Silva in a 3 rd destruction of GSP.

GSP can beat Silva if he can utilise his quickness and takedown abilities. Silva would have the advantage being the bigger man with more leverage, but GSP like stated before is very intellegent and would make Silva fight out of his comfort zone whatever that maybe. Plus GSP would be alot more stronger and powerful at 185, he just has to watch out for Silvas clinch thats all, cuz if Silva misses a kick its GnP time for GSP.

LOL. More nonsense from a GSP ball hugger. GSP is an amazing fighter but there is a reason why he has not called out Anderson Silva cause he knows he will get wrecked. What fights does he have left in the 170 lbs division?? This will be no different than the GSP vs Penn 2 fight. Size makes a BIG difference. Anderson in the 3rd via TKO. True GSP will get him down but won't be able to do shit. He'll just piss off Silva then Silva will continue his rain of destruction.

It's easy to get your judgement clouded right after you watch a great champion like Anderson Silva KO a credible opponent like griffin or GSP man handle his toughest opponent in thiago alves. People usually start to lean towards the guy they just recently watched. It doesn't matter if you know more about fighting then everybody in world. You can't rule either guy out. I can't say who I think would win, tho it would be a one way fight. Anderson silva with the KO or GSP lay and pray the decision.

Remember this - its up to GSP to step up. There is no one left in the 170 division for him to fight. What do you have "Mike Swick " or someother B+ fighter. Of course GSP did not call out Anderson Silva why would he after he ruined Forrest for life. It would of been cool. Just another GSP ball hugger. GSP is amazing however why not move up and fight Anderson.

Now anderson silva had to wait for gsp fight to finish but he chose to go fight forrest griffin. Now it understandable and am not calling anderson silva a pussy. But he is the one who refused to fight him.

Another thing gsp was told 1 thing he had to beat thiago alves to be able to fight anderson silva... now wtf is gsp suppot to have done say no ( and go against dana white ) and move up to fight a fighter that might of not want to fight him? He just beat thiago alves less then a 1 month ago... once he heals and if anderson silva didnt fight someone and is willing to move down to middleweight the fight will happen. It anderson silva falt but he has good reason. But blaming GSP is fucking stupid.

Okay, the only way I see Anderson Silva winning is by lucky TKO or KO from knees. GSP would take him down easily at will and would use ground and pound. Their both very very smart fighters so it wi'll be a good fight.

If GSP fights silva, silva will be about 36 years old, and not as hot as he is now. GSP will be a beast as a middleweight. Even more powerful. GSP would find a weakness

When this fight happens, st. pierre and silva will both be at their best. Silva will obviously have the ground game cause of his years of jujitsu, however, dont count out gsp, he has the same amount of experience as silva only his stand up is better than silva. GSP will have to avoid getting on his back. i think it will be a 4th round submission to Silva.

gsp has better stand up than silva? what planet do you live in... silva is an expert at muay thai he has even done muay thai fights and almost all his wins are because of strikes.. gsp is ground and pound guy with good stand up and ground game. not near as good as anderson silva, but he has by far the best wrestling. i think he will control silva much of the fight. and then get submitted in the 4 round.

I love GSP, and I think SIlva is a incredible fighter, but if you think Silva is getting GSP on the ground in any round, your crazy.

If Hughes cant consistently get GSP to the ground, then no one will. Period.

really? because last i checked, bj didnt make it to the fifth round against gsp. and he has said that if dana and joe silva made the fight that he would take the time to build muscle up so he could move to MW. silva has fairly good ground skills, but you forget, during the travis lutter fight, silva was nearly caught in a submission, the only thing that saved him was lutter being gased. and against henderson silva was totally dominated in round 1 with wrestling, and gsp is a far better wrestler.
