as I have stated earlier, I went through a unit in my American History class that focused on women's suffrage. during this unit we read several articles/book excerpts written in various time periods of US history. If you would like, I can tell you the names of the books/articles.

as for differences between genders, just look up "Wage Gap my the Numbers" and click on the first link. That will tell you all you need to know about women and the job opportunities they have compared to men in america.
