I have been told that since an attacking dog cannot grab you with his legs, its best to take him face on with your arms behind you or up high so he cannot immobilize one of your arms. Let him latch onto you somewhere beside the arms, and then get a hand on both front legs. Spread them apart as far and as fast as you can and dont stop till he lets go. This is a self defense maneuver ONLY.
