@chapinxguaterock You need to use the small wire contained within the controller (under the front flap) and connect it to the bottom of the ship and flip the switch on the ship to charge. It takes about 20 mins to fully charge.
This kit is overpriced, has crappy built foam body and it's 2 channels only. Not worth it. Save your money elsewhere for 3.5ch with gyro rc. You're paying for the dang copyright/IP/Brand, not the real fun factor.
Very cool. Also to adjust and keep it from spinning slightly flatten the blades by twisting the one that moves in clockwise rotation. Removing some of the pitch should correct the spinning. The blade simply has more bite than the other causing it torque around. Careful not to add pitch as you will add load to the motor and reduce flight times. Negative pitch only. Hope this helps! I own that, and it sucks.I thought it would be cool but it sucks because it doesnt have enough power to fly very well even when fully charged. Try the airhogs mini RC helicopters, they work much better.
Is it worth the money depends on what your intentions are. It's a lot of fun and re-charges quick enough to play with it again and not have to wait 6 hours. If you are an adult collector, I think after a while the novelty will wear off . Kids will have more fun with it. You can find it cheaper online - There are some links in he description where it is as low as $30.
And yes, it does spin like that 90% of the time. We did make it spin in one place on purpose but it still tends to spin as it moves around. In an larger open area is was possible to get it to fly and hover without a lot of spin, but when you go to make a turn with it it will spin for a bit even after it turns.
All in all, considering what other Star Wars collectibles run, this one does give you some fun and you can re-charge again and again without the need for electric sockets (it charges from the batteries in the controller) so if you take it out for the day it can be fun and is easier to run outdoors while it is intended for indoors, works just fine outside as well.
why is it spining?

the problem with the hasbro star wars rc ships are that they always spin during flight.
i think they should improve them more than necessary .
