This is a werewolf. The transformation is by far the best in film, if you ask me anyway, and the werewolf design retains the traditional four legged wolf, while still being an inhuman beast that looks a hellhound. I hate seeing these cartoon like, CGI wolves that look like adorable Pillow Pets. I want something that looks real, and doesn't give a shit if it murders everyone in the known world. Oh, and lol at zoebiflap's comment. Great movie, and if you haven't watched it, start to finish, do so.

Without the breakthrough technology (of the time) we probably wouldn't be where we are at currently. Not quite anyway. The guy who worked on the transformation in the new Wolfman is the same amazing god of an artist who worked on this beautiful piece of cinema. You need to view the movie as a whole. <3 ^_^
