I found several things wrong with that last scene:

One: There were four people against one--and the Colonel still managed to get the shot

Two: When the Colonel gets Luke's dad down--Noah runs to be beside Luke's mom, and completely bypasses Luke.

Three: Noah does absolutely nothing to stop his father--the only person who does is Luke's dad

Four: Luke's mom is completely useless, and her and Noah stand in the background uselessly as Luke is shot.
