To make that switch system, use an XOR-gate (or an XAND-gate, I don't really know, but I think they both work here) :D!

I did not know of the T flip-flop. I thought to make automated memory-doors, I would have to use an RS-NOR latch and two buttons. It makes a good airlock, but not that great of an automated door opener.

if you compact it more and use less inverters the delay will be less, because for every inverter you chain together there is a slight delay, if you dont believe me make a circuit with like 10 repeaters and turn a switch, the output wont change for like 5 seconds

And you'll see a VERY small T-Flip flop which uses 2pistons 2redstone 3torches and 1 solid block making the delay around 0,3seconds
