I had one of these flashes. It's charging noise made me change to Canons own flash. Sure it was a 100€ more, mut it is faster and completely quiet, whilst charging. Otherwise a decent flash gun, I think.
I just bought this flash and I can't believe its firepower. It's unbelievable compared to it's ridicolous low prize. I strongly recommend byuing this product.
I have this flash for my Nikon D60 and it works GREAT! Full TTL compatible. Recommend you to buy one, if you don't want to spend double the money for the Nikon flashes. You can also set it as a slave off camera flash and it triggers with the built-in flash which should be on ttl mode. No ttl function with the Nissin off camera, you should set it to manual.
@davomrmac You are welcome. I also bought the Nikon SC-28 flash cable. Now I can you my Nissin off camera with TTL support, but it's a bit short. Very good though for portraits and macro shooting.
@GalloPinz : The Di622 is not compatible with Nikon's CLS. However, in slave flash mode, it can be triggered by the D90's built-in flash. It can even be triggered with the flash of my Sony DSC-W100 point-and-shoot camera. The important thing is that the slave flash's optical sensor should see the flash emitted by the built-in flash.
Personally I find this flash unit better than my Nikon SB-600, in terms of design simplicity , ergonomics (head turns easily), flash coverage, weight and of course the price.
It was a joy to use with my D80,D50 but sadly it doesn't work on the D2Hs. I'll recommend it to anybody searching for a 2nd flash unit because it delivers most of the function that you'll ever need in a flash.
Poor review. I learned nothing about it that wasn't in the spec sheet. He never talked about what iTTL features are supported and not suppoted (hi speed sync, 2nd curtain, red eye, etc, etc).
How can you review a flash without even turning it on or showing sample pics???
There was only so much I can cover in a short YouTube video. It was reviewed after using it for over two weeks, so it gives a good overview and lets you know if it is a winner or loser.
IS IT THE SAME NISSIN WHO MAKES NISSIN RAMEN?

or would there be a delay whilst the flash recharges itself in between shots?
