Love this theme song! Andy Griffith is such an icon. I never get tired of Matlock or The Andy Griffith Show. There are so many great ones I wish I could meet just once and shake their hands and tell them what a great influence they had on our generation. Andy, Carol Burnett, Mary Tyler Moore, Doris Day just to name a few. No one has been left out intentionally, those just come to my mind first. Class acts, never to be repeated.

I prefer Nancy Stafford as his partner. I've always found the theme song to be really cheesy before not until I decided to see who were the other actors in this show. I have to admit, it's very catchy and very friendly and fun, that you can't help but love Andy Griffith playing the role of a defense attorney. It's now one of my top favorite shows and I'm only 24!

Matlock came out when my boys were very small. We would walk next door to my parents house and watch it with them. I remember one night stopping outside their house and seeing them sitting in their den, and thinking that someday I was going to miss that. They have since passed away, and them memories are so sweet. I love this show and this theme, although it does hurt a little when I hear it. I want those days back.Thanks for posting.
