As for "getting over it", I am afraid I can't if something, indeed, causes me emotional discomfort in certain places (e.g. with people around me). You can try, but can't really, control your emotion over something. I wish I could be always not offended by it. I am afraid however the material is uncomfortable to me if I hear it with others, whether or not I wish it to be (and I certainly don't). That is the nature of offence - I don't want to be but I can't help it.

The mere word itself can cause offence outside of its intended social group. Doesn't offend me at home, alone, and perfectly acceptable. It isn't anything against you, just my general problem with these sorts of radio edits when I heard with others. In fact, this sort of material I have only ever heard when alone and, since at least 1996, always switched off if my father or mother was in the room. This uses sh-t, rather than shit, but is so close as to be the same thing - the "disguising" doesn't disguise. I do not hear wahwah anywhere. It sounds like "sht" (i.e. "shit").

Racially offensive means capable of being offensive on grounds that it is an offensive word relating to racial or ethnic origin. Reversing doesn't work since I know all the words from that. In fact, I find the altered sound of 'ish' (meaning 'shit') offensive with other people because of the hiding of the word failing. Makes me more uncomfortable, I don't know if it's sense or not, but that is how I hear it - you can hear the sound of the 'racially-offensive' word in the soundtrack of your version and hear the word there. I also know the word from the altered sound, not edited, version. (Edit means remove totally.)

I like your "hand-cleaning" but in truth no better than record company's efforts. The first alteration is a nasty sounding version of "shit", the second the word "niggas" (apologies for the offence). May interest you to know your version, as with all other supposed 'clean' versions of this nature would offend me e.g. if I heard with strangers in the supermarket. I'm at home listening alone so no offence caused. You also started missing the same words later on, although I would ignore those.
