@acidglow you sure as heck were! even being familiar with the level, I still had to watch the clip twice! think my problem is I tend to go quite a bit slower, which just gives the aliens more of an opportunity to attack me.
Both games are hard on the hardest setting. I just chose to do it with no saving in this playthrough for a personal goal. Although in AvP3 on Nightmare you have no checkpoints, no saves allowed at all. 1 life is all you get. But I managed to get all the achievements in it. Only marine on nightmare is hard.
Of course I meant AvP3.. cause it has a difficulty of Nightmare where as AvP1 is just called "Directors Cut" difficulty. I've done both of them on hardest settings. For AvP3, the pred and alien ones were actually easy. Only the marines level 1 and 2 are actually challenging on Nightmare cause you are so limited with ammo, the other leves weren't that hard for me.
fuckin ruined my life, i had got killed before by them with the Predator only i ran straight into it, was kinda confused as to what happened, the next time i encountered one was here, and sweet jesus it nearly gave me a heart attack, and every single time i came to this point i was shaking with fear! only got past it once, to get killed further ahead
that was 6 years ago, and i'd love to confront my fear again and defeat it!
The best level in this game IMHO. Running through missions by marine was the only way to survive on DC. I've spend hours and hours completing all the special missions on DC :)
I never manage to get pass this stage when I played. It's either the alien's blood gets me or the flaming alien. lol!! But I manage to finish the preds mission. The alien's one is the only one where I cant even get past the first part! LOL!!!!
haha :D i finished alines/predators mission. but i didnt even try 2 finish marines mission coz it scares the shit out of me!! then l8r, when i grew up, i finished avp and avp2 both games all missions. :) this is the best and the scariest game of ever! i love it :)
yea, all I have to saw is its a game and face that fucken thing, it gets you, it gets you game over reset. that is all. just watch ur Motion detector. much easier.
there is only one problem I had on this level. that was the facehuggers in a small dark room. I got caught twice, in the middle of the night. Unexpected. I got fucken scared too. one I knew they where in front of me, the second time. I didn't know where they where. now if I had the smart gun it would have been a little easier. but for now Im still scared. :S, nice work though acid.
I tired to slug it out with the Aliens on this mode....took me a month to finish this level alone.

This game was so scary and i didn't even dare to go out and face the aliens, they just pop out from everywhere!
I got the original from 1999 and save game system is just terrible
is the 2010 AVP game easier than this?

omg you just have to shoot the ceiling to reach the other side....damn.. why I didn't know about this before (me = never completed this level)
I remember that the catwalk had scared me a lot, because I didn't think that it would act as a lift...
And the worst, than this lift would bring me to a room full of facehuggers...
