  • that is interesting! Originally from altoona. I am originally from Johnstown, and leg wrestling.. hmmm i've grappled, boxed and submission wrestled.... never heard of leg wrestling before. lol

  • cool closest contestant stumbled onto by accident from Altoona a few hours from Pittsburgh into a sport lol

  • I can wrestle, do judo & submission grappling but I've never been very good at leg-wrestling...too hard on my lower back.

  • My favorite game show on the game channel

  • check out : cmd hawk and dan leg wrestle

  • I wish the rest of it was on here. The part where Richard said, "Could you imagine some whino just tuning in looking and then, 'hey! What are they doing on the floor there?'"

  • I'd so put out for Richard

  • @pixi2nv Me too!!

    Dawn

  • Dam, Richard is fine. ;)

  • "Did you remember to put the cat out?" Classic gene!!!

  • A classic moment in Classic TV

  • 1:25 Richard is sexy!!

  • I would have loved to leg wrestled with Richard!!!

    Dawn

  • I loved the double entendre from the contestant about her husband, the plumber! LOL

  • I usually beat men. I think it has to do with leverage and weight of thighs. :)

  • That's not how you do it! You're supposed to line you backs up, then the loser will actually flip over.

  • old as hell.

  • Funny; what a great way to get publicity for the sport!

  • Rayburn pwned!

  • Imagine my amusement to see myself on You Tube after 33 years. Thank you for posting it. It was one of the most fun moments of my life and now I can enjoy it all over again.

  • Someone should put up the first episode of Now You See It for you as well. Granted, it is not as entertaining as either of your Match Game episodes, but I dare say it would be a treat, nevertheless.

  • I have tried to get a copy of the 2 day Match Game episodes to no avail...can you help? Appreciate the comments...It was all good fun.

  • Send me a private message - I have both episodes, plus your Now Your See It appearance. I would be glad to make you a copy of all three.

  • can i just say, u were absolutely beautiful looking then, and i bet u are still beautiful today. =]

  • @barber215 Now, 33 years later she wrestles her blank. . .

  • Where there tournaments in your neighborhood, or pickup games at neighborhood events? I'm wondering how long you maintained your position as champ :) Also was your record against guys/girls different or did you just beat them all?

  • Hi,

Yes we did have tournaments with friends and I did manage to stay on top for quite awhile. I won mostly against men. I think that it is just a matter of quickness and leverage.

I taught my kids and grandkids and we still have fun playing games. Thanks for the comment.

  • @lanikins2 - I was a kid back then and loved the show - Was Gene really that candid and crazy??!!

  • @lanikins2 You said you were a champion in this ep. What title was it?

  • @lanikins2 I'll bet not too many people can say they once leg-wrestled Gene Rayburn. Did you end up winning the game? If so, how much did you win?

  • Look, as long as we are down here...

Ha, ha, ha! Good one, Gene!

  • that was funny

  • Some trivia for you folks: Lannie Abraham also appeared on the first episode of Now You See It.

  • No...there is something called "Standards and Practices". Between "stars" maybe, but never between the talent and the publiuc. Unless Gene (or whoever thinks like that) wants to lose their entire career! Gene Rayburn was very happily married. I swear I am cracking UP at ALL these Match Game clips! They bring bakc so many great memories. TV was so cool then.

  • There was an episode of Late Night in which John Malkovich taught Conan how to leg wrestle. I thought it was a television first but apparently not.

  • Boyyy ! There for a moment I thought that Woman was going throw Gene off stage . I guess for most women who meet Gene sort of like to flirt with him and if they were in his dressing room there might have been some romantic times , would you think so ?

  • Not!!!
