I love this event so much. The highlight of my year every year! And I don't even get to go this year! (exams on memorial day) Its gonna hurt to miss this race and have to wait another year!
My dad hadn't missed a single 500 in like 35 years and so he took me to the 07 indy 500 (i wasn't all that exited) and the second the cars got rolling i was hooked.
Now i watch all sorts of motorsports: F1, Le Mans, IRL, Nascar, ARCA you name it!
i had seats on the start/finish line and it was really loud. it was my first indy 500. when we were in the car in traffic in a neighborhood, some drunk guy threw a raw sausage IN our car.
No matter what anyone says, no matter what the current situation of IndyCar racing is compared to the past... The start of this race is still f*cking awesome.
This was my second 500. ever since 07 ive been hooked on racing. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! The indy 500 is maybe the most EXITING SPORTING EVENT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is just so much fun i totally suggest going to one!
I swear I have been waiting my entire life (38 years) to see the Indy 500 in person...I know I'm gonna cry like a baby once the race starts.

Amen sir. If you've never been to the 500 before, go. You won't regret it. There's an electricity in the air comparable to the Super Bowl
