He was great on each of the programs you mentioned. He was in several Hitchcock films and a few science fiction pictures.

Asside from playing"Mr.Alex Waverley"on"The Man From UNCLE"TV shows..I remember Leo Carroll from"The Topper Tv Show"..in which he played the title role of"Cosmo Topper".

It was this first episode of LAUGH-IN which took THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.'s time-slot on NBC-TV. That's why Leo G. Carroll was cast in this cameo.
To my thirteen-year-old self forty years ago, this meta-joke was the absolute height of comedy.
Not quite so today, but not a bad joke, either.
