How the hell is this supposed to teach typing?

It actually does it pretty well.

First is the outside set: It starts you off with the home keys. Fhen works on introducing you into each of the keys on the top row while incorporating the home keys. Then on the bottom row with the rest of the keys in there as well.

Moving into the underwater: Then it gives you a few simple words to do using a variety of the keys to get you more used to actually typing words and using shift.

Dungeon: Finally. You get full sentences to try.

The thing people hate about the game is the god-awful music and sound effects. The actual teaching isn't as bad as people make it out to be.

That's the MS-DOS version the the Windows 3.1 and Mac OS version is on a CD meaning that it has music.

The MS-DOS is on a floppy so the music sucks.
