  • I don't have much room in my dorm at uni so I have to walk up the wall and flick into a handstand... I can do them for ages but I still havent got the hang of doing them one handed D:

  • you should make a tutorial... regular handstands are second nature to me but i cant seem to find my comfort zone in one arm hand stands

  • hmm id say if you got a regular handstands for at least a min then balance is the only thing needed for this move .. a regular handstand you got 2 hands to hold you. so you can only fall forward or back. in one hand handstand you fall at any direction. thats why its hard to balance..practice makes perfect :)

  • nah. you would need some strength to adjust yourself to the skill.

    im pretty sure you need strength to keep balance. unless your arms are straight and can keep balance for a long time that way.

  • practice two hand hand stand. Once you master that. Spread your legs wide and try to shift all your weight on to one arm. How fast you do it depends on you though

  • @Okreta however long it takes u to get the physical requirements needed to do it. Flexibility, core strength, and solid two handstand. Got to be able to breath in these positions.

  • easyy ppls. use your finger tips. and focus on controling your weight. it takes awhile to learn. so dont think that you could do it first try. i've been working on it for about a month. its called a stall. theres different types. i do spinning stall ya ! ^_^

    Once you can keep your form on one arm, it's a matter of conditioning. Balance is the most important thing, then comes endurance..

  • just try to stand on your both hands against a wall for som months.. when your arms and shoulders has developed it self try to stand not against any wall and so on.. when u done that then start balancing with your 1 arm

    ummmm do the handstand just with both hands but lean on your strongest hand.try to push a little weightto your leaning hand practise that 1 week-month kay???

    if it dont work practise with airbabys and airchairs kay???

    when ya ready try the one handstand kay???

    if ya ca do it 5-10secs ya can train with one stands instead of 2stand or airbabys.

    if ya controll 1 stand then try to hopping with 1 stand kay???

  • before starting practicing standing on one hand, I`ve been training on both hands for about 2 years, surely it made my arms as strong as i needed. As I remember I could stand over one minute on both, now it`s over 2. So maybe 6-7 seconds is not long enough, but try...

    Im a bboy and never really spoken to someone who can do really long 1-hand stand.. is that 24 seconds considered a fluke? or you average around there everytime you try or even more.

  • Thelength of my standing depends on the day and my actually form. Sometimes I can stand over half minute, but some days I can`t make 10 second standing. Average it`s about 10-15 seconds, but now I`m comming back to training it, and hope that will be better.:]

  • Thats excellent, i wish more people walked past in bewilderment at what you were doing.

  • ...But try to keep your elbow as straight as it is possible, bending it for a moment is sometimes a really good way to catch ballance (when I`m standing I don`t think about it, from the video I see that I`m doing it very often), but it`s quite tireness.

    So train, train and train almost everyday, just try to do it... It`s my main tip.

  • ...But then when you start to stand for 3-5 sec try to do it many times every day... your arms and fingers will be more and more stronger, wrist more stretched, and you will learn how to catch a ballance by whole body, especially by legs, second hand, wrist and elbow - like at standing on both hands...

  • The easiest way to stand on one hand for me is from standing on both (like at beggining of video) . It`s required to stay on both hand perfect in one place, and when are you standing on them straight your back, do "v" by your legs, and try to lift up one hand. I was training it by myself in that way, doing it almost every day at home. By first few months it was very hard to me, because I didn`t make any progress, I couldn`t catch balance...
