so...don't trust a single video including this one therefore trust nothing but yourself? and since 'yourself' is a product of everything else, and everything else is nothing, therefore i am nothing, but if i am nothing then i cant know everything else. so everything else doesnt exist since i am nothing and cant know it. and if 'yourself' is a product of everything else and it doesnt exist. OK I GET THIS VIDEO! SERIOUSLY WE DONT EXIST!
I was born into a world of propoganda.. someone trying to convince me of something in some way or another. Since it's all I know I grow resentful of it all. I can't understand the older generations like the baby boomers who grew up with the evolution of tv. I think they're a lot more niave to it.
He has something to sell as much as them, your not going get around propaganda if you ever have a message to give out. Propaganda in and of itself is fine, it's when your using questionable tactics that it becomes dangerous. Now defining what these questionable tactics are is kind of hard...
@Legaltrap Good point. The thing about propaganda is that it can never be stopped. Everything is propaganda that is trying to get you to do or think something. The way to stop it from working on you is to have many sources. Research is the key. Conspiracy theories are a good example. Some have validity, others are pure fallacies.
This video itself uses the propoganda technique of making large generalizations without supporting with facts/data/research. Ironic, although I understand the point they are making.
the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince everyone he did not exist...or as shakespeare worded it "one my smile a smile and still be a villain."
Calling PR propaganda (using a neutral word as if it has evil connotations)
"No one has ever heard of" [that includes you, too, doesn't it?]
Talking heads
is propaganda in itself. Stop believing everything because of its container and wrappings and window dressing - including this. If they wanted to be of assistance, they'd do as my 7th grade teacher did, and teach us to recognize the attempt to manipulate, and insist we resist becoming pawns of the corps, or the French Resistance-wannabes.
You prove it yourself. Why is propaganda a negative word to you? My guess is you made that decision from information gleaned through the media. Its important to realize that every idea or thought not originated in your own head needs to be analyzed critically. Everything, absolutely everything without exception is created and or communicated with an agenda or goal in mind.
Great stuff. It never ceases to amaze me that most people are not conscious of this situation! Talk about "turn on, tune in, and drop out!" ha... The consumer does it every day by dropping out of reality.
Another informative, Hard Hitting video from the Guerrilla News Network questioning Perception Managment/Propaganda/Public Relations. Other video's from GNN include "IBM and the Holocoust" and "Crack The CIA"
The key words here when confronted by all we perceive are CRITICAL THINKING!!
