Guys, I am always open to any posibility. I have respect for the independent choice, but I am afraid that a vote for Nader/Gonzalez will only pull votes away from the Democrats. I have to say that McCain/Palin scares me to death. I understand the political game from a novice level. I see the lies and same speeches. I too am tired of the same old thing. Seriously though I have always felt that Nader takes away the Dem votes needed to get the Bush/McSames out of there. They are killing us. Help me

If Democrats were smart they should be telling people Nader is an ally running AGAINST McCain, not trash him.

They are the ones lessening the impact of his sharp critism against the Republicans(except Ron Paul) by constanly telling everyone he's running against Democrats.

When Nader decided to run as an indepedent he made clear he was running alongside the Green Party, not against them. Now having Mckinney/ Clementee & Nader/ Gonzalez has doubled the no. of progressives voices & supporters.

I know nothing about the man. I never believed him to be a bad leader. I have always voted the democrat line because it seemed to fit my beliefs. I have never heard a democrat say anything bad about the man, at least not to me. That is why I am hear to learn, but it seems to me that his supporters want to alienate anyone that does not share their views. I came here to ask for another point of view. Thanks for turning me off to Nader. I really wanted help understanding his message...oh well...

No trolling. I am serious I really wanted to learn something about the guy. You see you just reinforce the negative. I have said nothing negative about Nader. All I asked for was some information. Some help in looking at an alternate candidate. No one wants to help. It as if you are so use to people giving you shit about being independent that you cannot see genuine interest and a request. You wouldn't know a potential vote if it bit you. I give up.

Considering every single one of your current favorites and subscriptions deals with a particular political party, I find the argument moot. Your views are self-evident. I'm not saying you're wrong, or that you're not allowed to express your opinion, but that by taking the effort to express your disappointment towards the underdog undermines your effectiveness.

Well I am still interested and I am not done until Nov 4 when I put the ballot in the box. I appreciate the fact that you guys are here. Welcome or not I will keep watching Naders vids. I like them so far. He has some good things to say. I guess I wish he was not so "if you are not voting for me it is apathy" I think the fact that less than one third of the people vote... I guess that is what he is sayin' anyway. No games just curious and I wish you all the luck on election day!

If you aren't voting you probably aren't voting because you don't like democratic or republican. So yes he's saying that maybe he'd get the apathy vote, and he's probably right. I was considering making a protest abstention, but realize a protest 3rd party vote is the only way to break the chain

I have voted for the Democratic candidate all my life (ever since I became qualified to vote) and they lost my respect mostly due to their incompetence and failure to stop the war and fix our broken health care system. Nancy Pelosi is the main reason for my departure. JM /SP scare me to death too but i am sick and tired of voting for the guy who is supported by the corporations and voted for patriot act and .....did not stand for the people when needed
