  • Dear god, I can haz?

  • i am digging the run racks!!!!! i put the oil filter adapters on mine and it get up to pressure in about 5 seconds...

  • @parlusk1791 I was trying to figure out what"run racks" are, then it just hit me you meant gun racks. I'm so used to them I don't even think about them except to hang stuff on. The spin on adapters - both oil and fuel - are on my to do list.

  • @2Kryp2nite1 I had three and now I have just two. In opinion my opinion these trucks are undervalued. They have a great history and utility and are still currently used around the world. No frills and plastic junk to break. Not to mention they are just fun to work, preserve and play with. Currently they are easy to come by as the government is releasing loads of them.

  • Hope you found it a good home. Thanks for the education. Has anyone ever put a Gear-Vendors™ 1:1/OD on one of these for highway transit? (yes I know it might not end well to engage the front axle while in OD ;) Good video.

  • @TheSonofmydad Thanks, I was trying to make it as informative as possible. People have modified these trucks in many ways to increase speed, comfort, utility and off-road capabilities. Steel Soldiers is a good site to search for modifications and general information of military trucks of all sorts. It was a really good truck and I think it went to a good home.

  • what was that sound

  • @DaylanNelson Which one? The buzzing is a low air warning. The Whistling is the turbo. The rattles - well - lots of rattles.

  • @ducati135 the buzzing

  • @DaylanNelson The brakes are air assisted so a minimum pressure must be reached so they work correctly. Air pressure gauge is the far right bottom one. The buzzing is a warning that the pressure is below the minimum. The wipers and engaging the front wheel drive are also air operated.

  • @ducati135 can you plug these things in during the winter to keep the engine block warm and make start up easier, like you would find on other diesels?

  • @southerndiesels The truck in the video does have a coolant heater that I installed. It wasn't used here though, just the flame intake heater was used on this cold start. If it's plugged in it fires up instantly.
