Read your Bible, "No one knows the day or the hour". The Bible was written way before the Mayans started their calandar. The world was also predicted to end back in the 1990's as well but we made it here. "Not even the Angels in Heaven know God's plans." Praise God for life and for providing a way from death.
the worlds not gonna end to thoughs who think it will on 2012. they even said that in 1999 and it didnt. the world will end when god wants it too. but be warned he can do it ANY time. just be good for like your whole life and belive in him and the world will get a less chance of ending my friends. also just think of positve stuff and not the future. just enjoy life for now.

No the world will not end in 2012, However there is a planet named Eris only its the size of Pluto it wont do much damage to earth Planet X or Niburu are just an internet hoax. If Nibiru or Planet X were real and headed for an encounter with the Earth in 2012, astronomers would have been tracking it for at least the past decade but have they? No they haven't. I can't believe so many people claim Jesus is coming back this year or that year. It sickens me. The Bible likens a day to a 1,000 yr persiod in an allegory, so if we don't know the day he returns, it can be said we would not be able to nail it down to less than 40-something years! lol

Or are you of the opinion that creation might also be for a longer period of time, ENDING 6000 years ago?

@jzuidema Because Genesis provides the context for the days built right into the very sentances describing the events of them. The statements "and the evening and the morning were the [number] day" means two 12 hr periods dividing a 24 hr day, the same way we dvide a day to this very day - evening is duskt to midnight, morning is midnight to noon. The Bible could not be more clear about it.
@NephilimFree erm, dusk til midnight can be any amount of time from like 1 hour to 11 hours depending on the time of year, and the part of the world you live in. That, in my book, is not two 12 hour periods.
