Say whatever you want about Sylvester Stallone and his steroid and hgh use. But you don´t see many actors like him. I bet many of us would wish to have the motivation and dedication he has. This movie is great!
@5hinkuro Considering he's 65 now he's in great shape...and if you hadn't of noticed, with age your skin wrinkles so what exactly did you expect? 30 year old looking 65 year old?
@Shaadeedaa no. sly took steroids, and also underwent plastic surgery, both of which have led to his current facial appearance. if you think that's natural development of "skin wrinkles", then quite frankly you're a dumb fuck
@Cyclops4770 was just watching that, was a good movie except for when the ghost of his dead wife shows up in the later half, that was just too out of place in that movie.
This film is dreadful but very enjoyable! I do think Stallone is a decent actor, anyone who can create a cinematic legend like Rocky must be talented. This film is hilarious at times though when it's meant to be dramatic. I almost passed out from laughing during the scene when Sly has Donald Sutherland strapped to the electric chair, the dialogue and the look on Don's face are just priceless.
Like this if... you have ever watched lockup and/or shawshank redeption..... and those movies made you think and understand in a way u never have before...<3
@hsemehen its not really a song,,its piece written by bill conti,,hes the guy who composed a lot of sly stallones music like rocky ,,,look for bill conti on u tube and theres of loads

LOCK UP intro with the Bill Conti piano song and stallone thinking about the past while cleans dusty old photos.. is very emotional and nostalgic .. the authentic Stallone style of making movies! A normal and humble man and after he suffered a lot of injustices. Sallone is the best action movie actor / drama.
In his underwear when they wake him up, but by the time he's out of the cell, he has pants and a shirt on. Not only incongrous, but more effective if he arrives at his new spot "stripped".
@internalpeaceseeker Im 30 and I feel the same way, I feel 95% of all music and films were all better before say in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. It's because your older, the circuitry in your brain is more "locked down" for want of another anology, and the music you liked around the age of 23 (on average) is your preferred music.
Has less to do with music -- a lot to do with the way the human brain works.

As the movie progresses, we find out he is one of the good guys, namely when the guards open fire at First Base in the courtyard. And especially when he calls off the beating of Leone when he gets out of solitary confinement, basically telling Manley and Wiley he doesn't give a shit what the warden ordered. John Amos is an underrated talent.
This is Stalone's best movie (acting wise) behind the Rocky series. Rambo was good but he never said much! Thanks for the upload man...I love Dallas in this too, Tom Sizemore.
Nah, not really, I thought his acting was good in this though, acting-wise, this was definitely one of his better films next to the Rocky series (the first 3 anyway.) Yea, he's an action guy, and in his time he was the best. A lot of people say he can't act for shit but those same people went and watched his movies!

I can't picture Evander Holyfield or Roy Jones, Jr becoming second fiddle to their trainee. This was a good role for Stallone, though. What's funny is that he is a graduate of the University of Miami.
I dunno, I like Carl Weathers but only the first two movies were somewhat realistic in terms of boxing. It got pretty laughable in his 2nd fight with "Clubber" in Rocky 3, Rocky 4 was ludicrous but still, they were somehow all entertaining, not sure why! Rocky 1 was not only realistic, it was a great film.
I have no issue with Carl Weathers as an actor. But I just could never buy into Apollo Creed becoming Rocky Balboa's trainer. Apollo Creed played a flashy, flamboyant and cocky champion who thought he was invincible. He was the guy we loved to hate. It made no sense turning him into a good guy. If they had to make a third sequel, they should have used the plot of Rocky V, because I can buy the idea of him becoming champion and 10 years later, going bankrupt and having to rebound.
Because he was in a minimum security prison nearing the end of his sentence so he was allowed occasional leave to prepare himself for release. That was until Drumgool pulled some strings to get him locked up in gateway lol.
