I wish we, as in the human race, could settle for less convenience so that this sad story wouldn't be happening. I may be naive, but I do believe in making consumption decisions according to need as opposed to want-not necessarily a popular stance during the holiday season, but, sorry kids, I also believe in living according to my beliefs.

Some of these folks were/are so good, but only fans of genre know their stuff, but a chick that does a bad Bowie ripoff or a fresh-faced kid "Discovered" by Usher probably made more last year that all the John Prine, John Hiatt, Emmylou Harris, James McMurtry etc_sad !

I saw John in the late 80's and Iris in the mid 00's. Never together but you're lucky if you did. 2 national treasures. Both grossly under-appreciated. I love this music!
