  • Their purpose, therefore, in going to war was largely dictated by security."

By General Douglas MacArthur, ex-Supreme Commander of Allied Power- May 3rd, 1951, Military and Diplomacy Joint Commitee, US Congress

  • shame on you..........

    criminal country

  • so....why are japanese allowed to honour these war criminals...

but germans arent allowed to honour NAZIS!>?!?

    ..its basically the same thing

  • @SirHungryHippo Maybe you right! But maybe they just Honor the Men who fight for there Country! Not for the Tenno!

  • @SirHungryHippo

Nazis are being blamed by the world, mainly for its Crimes against Humanity, such as mass killing, persecution to the Jews, medical experiment to living human and etc.

But there is no Japanese war criminal accused for Crimes against Humanity, because there was no plan in Japan to exterminate one ethnic group totally. Japan and Nazis are different.

Actually, Japanese war criminals inprosoned were all released before 1960s, under agreement with allied powers.

  • @2008venom Japs are being blamed by the world, mainly for its Crimes against Humanity, such as mass killing, persecution to the koreans/chinese, medical experiment to living human and etc.

    LOL

  • @SirHungryHippo

I mean that, no war criminals officially accused at military tribunals after the war by allied powers.

That's what described on history testbooks in the world.

But maybe testbooks only used at China and Korea are different from the world.

  • @2008venom its called politics bro

you cant deny that japan commited war crimes

  • @SirHungryHippo

    Every countries committed war crimes.

  • @2008venom We don't worship our war criminals.

  • @theexpliotedforlife

Are you living in UK ? Then what is Remembrance day ? What is Memorial day ?

Does the Queen lay a wreath at the Cenotaph in Whitehall ?

All those who dead for your country are free from any of war crimes ?

  • @2008venom It would be different if they actually were convicted of any crimes. Keep in mind, many of your war dead also carried out many war crimes.

  • @theexpliotedforlife

    Convicted ?

Do you think war tribunals by winners were fair enough ?

Soviet Union was an ally of UK and USA during war, but do you think Russians were admirable democrats ?

  • @2008venom "Do you think war tribunals by winners were fair enough ?" Probably not, but most of those convicted got what they derserved.

  • which is why I said "everybody is being politically incorrect".

  • ****ing JAP bit**s

  • ****ing JAP bitchs

  • *****ng JAPs

  • No one knows the truth and memories fade .. Is this enough?

At least don't MAKE truth, even though it is hard to clear up all the things.

  • Japanese are fucking crazy people

    i cant believe that

  • karma wiped this evil place away with earthquake and tsunami

  • @BruceLeeIpMan How can you say that ? That's an offensive remark to the Government and the Japanese Peoples and Nation that's just reeling from the Friday March 11th 9.0 Earthquake and Mega Tsunami .

  • ah well the japanese celebrate yasukuni and the chinese celebrate hiroshima and nagasaki. Even if the point of view was different, I'ld say the both of you are looking at the same spot no...?

It's like christmas no? Celebrate the birth of a man who will ultimately be celebrated because his ass was nailed to a cross.

If we have any more politically incorrect remarks, let's lay em out here.

  • @fba90130

Yasukuni is a holy place, like as the Cenotaph in UK.

It is not a place to celebrate.

  • China needs to clean up their dark past.

By the say. Such biased video!!!

  • ok...I think its time to move on..its pointless to argue these all political things..no one knows what is the turth.

  • YASUKUNI PRASE WAR CRIMINALS AND OTHER FOREIGNERS WHO WERE FORCED TO SERVE IN JAP MILITARY. THIS SHRINE NEEDS TO BE BURNT DOWN.

  • I'm a Japanese. But I feel that Yasukuni Shrine is the shame of Japan.

I hate Yasukuni Shrine because this is for a war of aggression.

I think that nobody would like to visit there except the right-wing.

Who wants to honor war criminals? It's unbelievable!

  • .....the yasukuni shrine a place so preety but so sad at the same time

  • shit jap 2,000 years history = fucked by China and Korea. Japan= full of emigrants of Chinese and Koreans. Please Japan only for AINUS!!!!

  • @mekon11 you can stfu and go jack off dont talk bad about there history

  • @darkXhika

Yasukuni Shrine = war criminals. Will Germany built a shrine for Nazi criminals? FREE JAPAN! Give back to the original people, Ainus!

  • @mekon11 Learn how to spell properly and we have never lost a war with you or korea so shut the fuck up. You subhuman chinks couldnt have beat us in ww2 if it werent for the americans

  • @aardvark935

    LOL Subhuman chinks nice LOL

U know if it werent fro americans today japanese would serve as the slaves

  • @kokofisher and so we Japanese have these things called manners, we don't burn american flags for dropping nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki unlike you savage gooks and chinks.

  • @aardvark935

    Japanese have manners LOL

Answer my question nip, how many countries out there could manage to commit the atrocity of killing more than 30 million innocent civilians and still deny that it ever happened?

    Pigs, donkeys, and Japanese

  • @kokofisher LOL wow, youre really good at pretending to know history arent you ya little maple sucker. I won't even bother wasting my time justifying what you said about us killing over 30 million people. Do you understand how to read numbers? Maybe doing a little more research would help you not making yourself look like a fucktard

  • @aardvark935

Shut the fuck up asshole sucking nip. Are you trying to deny that u didnt kill 30mill people? Are you? Are you telling me u dirt faced short-dick pighead nips did not kill the 30 million innocent east asians who were simply civilians? Praise the lord u got 2 nukes bitch, just be happy Japan is not at the bottom of the ocean today thx to the US intervention

  • @kokofisher LMAO made me laugh, what kind of fucked up education are you getting over there in Canada? If youre going to just be some troll then I don't have time for you, why don't you at least try backing up your 'you killed 30 million civilians' huh? well, I don't expect you to do so, Its pretty obvious that youre just some little 12 year old who has no idea of our history staring at his computer the whole day being a troll that you are. People like you keep me going everyday.

  • @aardvark935

Wow u know when people told me Nips are the most fucked up people in the world at first I didnt believe them, well ur government certainly did a good job brainwashing u pigs. Travel outsite of Japan and see for u self. Only nip morons living in the land of retardation (thats japan by the way) DONT know about these massacres. For ur information we never bombed nagasaki and hiroshima, since u have no evidence backing those up either.

  • @aardvark935 oh look what we have here. one of those crazy right wing japs who drive around in black vans trying to convince everyone that japs were victims in ww2. its such a shame more nukes wasnt dopped on u fuckin japs. but dont worry, soon china will give u a taste of ur own medicine. fuckin jap devils. japs are only useful for one thing - being test subjects for nukes LOOOL!

  • @aardvark935 I am pretty sure the japs burned some flags apart from the stars and the strips. Two bumbs should secure the answer here: you dont dare to. Japanese do have manners, under the condition that when they are weak.

  • It is no slight to the very real grievances of the victims of Japanese imperialism to note that the PRC gov't in Beijing stirs up resentment against Japan to cover up their own attrocities against their own people. Who killed more Chinese, Tojo or Mao? It is Mao who gets the hire score in that competition.

  • u see.. same bullshit.. u try to cover ur shame.. germans.. if i mention to germans about shame of ww2.. they simply say... yea... sorry about that.. we fucked up.. but we will never do that again.. thats it... shame accepted... but low class japs always try to justifiy what they did.. and blame others. like..Yea we did some stuff. but They did stuff too.. like tiss and like that. bulltshit after bullshit.. they cant accept the shame.. they actually they werent wrong.. thats the low classness.

  • So the U.S. stops trade to japan. (because japan is crazy and attacking everyone) and japan attacks america. very smart. and now lets blame the U.S. for us attacking them because they stopped trade with us(also because we were attacking others). do germans say they attacked france and brittain because they were being mean to them? germans actually have a better excuse then japan, because how ww1 left them so miserable. but japan juss got involved for some reason, just wanting to attack people.

  • Yeaa noble intentions of killing all the jews in poland? wanting to invade anyone with any intentions is wrong. especially good intentions like the japanese killing millions of chinese? and of course Rooselvelt stop trade with the enemies of peace the obvious aggressors. but i see how you try to twist up facts, and try to blame others for your actions. did anyone force germany to invade poland? did anyone force japan to invade the mainland? it was UR decisions. dont blame others for UR actions.

  • thats what it really comes down to in the end for japan right? Japan dosent wana feel the shame. Japan still thinks they won the war or somthing. Japan never admits to wrong doing. and all of japans attempts of apologies were sad examples of how japan still dosent accept any shame, how japan still believes it was right to go to war and kill millions of people. well if ur entire countries history knows nothing but war i guess its hard to change savage mentality.

  • U.S. pilots who bombed a german city? If ur country is responsible for starting world war 2, and bombing innocent cities all over europe. and ur bitching about one german city the allies bombed? no matter how much u try to sugar up the truth, it dosent matter. the bottom line is, the allies was forced to go into a war to protect. and the evil axis started a war for domination. so these people who sacrifice their life to PROTECT should be honored. and the failed invaders should be shamed.

  • hahaha Brittish sent a declaration of war to germany after germany attack poland? belgium and france? i love how u twist up the facts there buddy. Did russia also get into negotiations with brittian france and romania, about poland? yes they did. could the brittish start a war with the nazis and the russians? no they couldnt have. so they choose the obivious nazi agressors.

  • u know why Germans dont honor nazis and hitler? becuase Germans have class, and humanity. Because Germans know shame and they are shameful of their evil past. And they know how dishonorable and how improper it is (its common sense to the germans) and how disrespectful it is to the lives they destroyed all over europe. Now japan dont seem to have the common sense, nor class, or and human decency to see how dishonorable these actions are. If japan had any CLASS they would burn the shrine down.

  • well the thing about british and americans were... atleast in ww2... NOT ATTACKING COUNTRIES... and was forced into war by INVADING countries. had NO choice but to fight. while Japan and Germany was doing the invading. so US forces and Brittish forces are HONORED because they DEFENDED the free world from INVADING forces. now JAPAN and GERMANY... Do germans build memorials for nazis and hitler? do millions of germans go pay respects every year at nazi cemetaries? NO they dont...

  • Fuck ブタのオッサン

  • The shrine of shame, murder and rape, of plundering and dishonor, of barbarism in it's worst form;it's the shrine of a country that doesn't seem capable of accepting it's crimes against humanity and a constant reminder of the cruelty and dishonor that lurked in the souls of those who called themselves soldiers, but were nothing more than criminals;their evil spirits must be burning in hell, along with their little devious emperor, the most brutal and also the most coward of all those thugs.

  • millions of ppl die in korea becoz of japan.korea divided is becase ww2.

  • Korea was devided by Americans and Russians.

Lee Seung Man was supported by Americans, and Kim Il Sung was supported by Communist Russians.

  • TRUTH STANDS ,LIES FALL

  • Those visiting Yasukuni, where headstones of international Class A War Criminals are also reside, they are also condoning their behaviour and actions!

  • The major controversy about this shrine is not that japan honors its fallen soldiers.

Every nation does that and that itself is nothing to be ashamed of or to be criticized of by other countries.

The thing is that also convicted war criminals are listed in that shrine.

(It wasn't like that at first, but the government decided to add their names later)

This is the reason why the emperors of japan decided to not visit it anymore.

A reason which is not shared by some japanese politicians.

  • name me a shrine germans built for the nazis and hitler which millions of germans go pay respects and honors the nazis....

  • I have seen it but nowhere do they say that they were killing civilians. The first guy allegedly lined up people and machine-gunned them down but if there were executing 1000 troops, then surely a machine-gun would hasten the process. By the way, it was the international law at the time that it is legal to execute soldiers if they either do not wear military uniform or if their general was unavailable... speaking of which both Chiang Kai Shek and Tao Sei Chi both fled, leaving soldiers behind.

  • yeah the strength of chinese army at that time sucked major ass, its a shame for the chinese government at that time really

  • If you dis-agree with the Yasukuni Shrine as there may be war criminals interned there. Think? Do you not think war criminals are not interned in other sacred places, say perhaps the US Arlington Cemetery etc?

You have to be open and call a spade a spade..............

  • thats the truth right there

  • Yaskuni shrine should be closed ASAP. It is a place worshipping war criminals. The nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was inevitable since without it 100 million would have died in Japan as a result of bitter trench war. Warfare in Asia is 100% different from what Westerners think. Differences in culture have their roots din differences in dominant production mode.

  • This video's (and many other peoples') claims that theJapanese had killed 300,000 people is a bit dubious, considering that that's the equivalent of two atomic bombs and that the Japanese only had bayonets and rifles. If the 300,000 claim was true in 6 months, more than 1000 people must have been killed in the first day. Yet no journalist out of approximately 100, despite the fact that censorship could not be established immediately, has reported the case.

  • rofl if a journalist was in the middle of it, hes dead anyhow, u think just by looking white would protect you?

  • lmao i am japanese and from the way you write, you do not seem to be bothered about hiding your hate-japan sentiment. or was my english so much better than yours? ^^ lol

  • what! i am sorry! i do not hate japan lol :/

lets see what i wrote... i wrote too much :( but alot of them were facts :oooo soooo okiiieeee yeah

    peace ;o

  • @zeal

Here's a couple of crimes that broke the Geneva Convention (this is great as there are hundreds thanks for asking)

1, Look up "The Laconia Order"

2, The execution of many hundreds of Japanese survivors in life boats, rafts, life jackets or just treading water after the "Battle of the Bismark Sea" There is footage of this on y/tube. Like I said before, this would be remembered by the Japanese in future engagements and battles. There's two, would you like the next hundred? Awa Maru maybe?

  • yeah in war, atrocities are inevitable, only way to settle it would be another war, but this time i doubt china would need outside help in crushing japan, rather japan really need the rest of the world's help to stay alive :/

  • @zeal

Re-your words "US didn't violate any rules of war"

ENOUGH, YOUR LIVING IN FAIRY LAND

I can prove hundreds of violations by the US in the international rules of war

I will be glad to inform you of them anytime.................

  • @zeal

All Allied countries broke Geneva Convention as well, why were they exempt from war crimes? (only because they won and to cover their own crimes against humanity)

Leave Yasukuni in peace and settle your mind on something else

  • @zeal

    Hmmmmm ok

So again I ask, The deliberate targeting of women, children and elderly with incendiary phosphor and atomic weapons.

    A war crime? Yesor No

  • Sometimes you have to face reality. Look at how much casualties both sides suffered in battles such as Okinawa and Iwo Jima. If the bomb wasn't dropped, how many more people would've die? And don't forget after germany surrender, Soviet union begin to mobilize against Japan, if US didn't make Japan surrender, what will happen? At that time, Japan have massed all their forces in the south against America, completely leaving their north undefended.

  • @Bal

What has that got to do with "Yasukini Shrine"?

  • @zeal

1.Grant ordered Plains Indians off their own land to reservations 2. Anyone who didn't obey was to declared "hostile" against the US and waged war against. (you left out the second part LOL)

  • @zeal

RE-YOUR WORDS "You can't blame US for killing soldiers"

ARE YOU SERIOUS? Look up the amount of Japanese innocents (women, children and elderly) DELIBERATELY TARGETED and incinerated alive by incendiary phosphor, not to mention de-materialising after atomic attacks. Should I include the raping etc even after the war finished in the tens of thousands.

ALL CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY only difference the winners were exempted from war crimes. Are their shrines any different?? HYPOCRITE

  • @zeal

Why don't you reply to my query about your own governments human experiments on its citizens without their consent? Remember Clinton's public apology?CIA's horrific Project MK-ULTRA for mind control and other experiments where biological agents were released in railway subways etc which caused fatal results. What about you governments amnesty for those who ran Unit 731.

Don't be such a US GBA and apple pie hypocrite....Like I said do you think contrails are only to make the sky pretty?

  • @zeal

Go away you don't even know your own countries history let alone commenting on Yasukuni.

RE YOUR WORDS--> "Grant didn't even do anything against Indians also the (Arlington) cemetary was for people who died in the civil war"

So Grant never did a thing to the Plains Indians and only Civil War veterens are at Arlington? You are so pathetic....

By the way Yasukuni is NOT a shrine that honours war criminals and was there way before WW2

Go away you waste time without facts......

  • @zeal

So according to your logic 'Grants Tomb' and 'Arlingting Cemetary' should be erased because of the criminals who caused the genocide of the 'Plains Indians'?

    Get a life..................

  • Ha ha you so blind to propaganda.......

The US has done myriads of planned experiments on its own population without consent. Project MKULTRA is well known, also forced operations for mind control and biological agents released in underground railway stations etc causing many fatalities and thats just the start. You don't remember President Clinton's apology for these 'atrocities'? Get off your high US moral horse and get a life. I suppose you think contrails are to make the sky look nice?

  • Do you say that the re-arrangement of a human beings atomic structure or the vapourisation of mainly innocent people from atomic blasts isn't an atrocity?

Yes I know about unit 731 etc (who by the way led normal un-molested lives for information given by them to the US even though live vivisections were performed on Allied prisoners etc) The US performed just as brutal on their own people eg MKULTRA among others..

Just call a spade a spade all are in the same boat only you see through blinkers

  • @zeal

You choose to ignore and ask for links LOL I thought an educated person like yourself could do some simple research?

Ok lets just concentrate on one. Hmmm ok how about KATYN FOREST "not an atrocity you say" well what would you call it?

What organized genocide do you speak of?

  • @zeal

The EXECUTION of thousands of Japanese men in a two day period after the Battle of the Bismark Sea. The film still exists (here on youtube) of men in lifeboats, rafts, lifejackets or just treading water being straffed in the sea. Even rescue craft were to be fired at, all on the orders of an Admiral Kenny C in C US Pacific theatre. A fact that would not be lost by the Imperial Japanese Navy in future battles. I could go on for hours about Allied war crimes let me know I'll tell volumes

  • The "Danzig Massacres" 58,000 men, women and children horribly murdered by the Polish before Hitler's defensive invasion of Poland began. Research these...... KATYN FOREST, INSTIGATING URESTRICTED SUBMARINE WARFARE (The Laconia order) 1000,000 GERMAN WOMEN AND GIRLS RAPED AND KILLED. ALL CLEARLY RED CROSS HOSPITAL SHIPS SUNK (Inc the AWA Maru, Japans Titanic) THE DELIBERATE USE OF NAPALM AND PHOSPHOR AGAINST CIVILIANS, THE STARVING TO DEATH OF OVER TWO MILLION MOSTLY CIVILIANS (Morganthau Plan)

  • @zeal

    Trust me, yahoo 'Hotaru Museum'

Once there you will see six names to click on............take only a minute of your time!

Don't you think that these boys should be honoured (as well as others) at Yasukuni?

I would love to hear what you think.........Don't be blinded by Hollywoods version of history................

  • @zeal

If what you said was true (which it's not) you would have to destroy every shrine or monument worldwide honouring their dead.

Yasukuni is no differen't than say Arlington cemetary etc. No country is blameless in war, the Allies commited some of the worst atrocities which is why it was decided that no Allied countries would be prosecuted for war crimes at Nuremberg (believe me there's plenty)

But the victors write the history........

  • @VC

Why would you want to destroy such a sacred place?

  • まあまあみんなそう熱くなるな。

    日本人は劣等民族の土人だからしょうがない。

  • First, the concept of God of Japan also differs from Occidental God and Chinese God. However, when translating, it will be translated as the same thing. The concept of God of Japan was in Japan from from, before the Chinese character got across to Japan. In Japan, God is innumerably. And if people die, they will become God altogether. Probably, the meaning will be closer to a spirit of a departed person than God, when translating.

  • Moreover, there are various kinds of shrines. In the case of a hero, in the case of a bad man, in the case of the person who did unhappy death, ... etc. in the case of someone's ancestors. For example, in the case of a hero, the hero's name is attached to a shrine. Moreover, in the case of the person who did a bad man and unhappy death, if it does not treat more carefully, there may be a curse.

In the case of Yasukuni Jinja, other cases are a little differed from.

  • Yasukuni Jinja is a case of the official-business death by war. Their merits and demerits while in life are not asked. Only the cause of death is asked. The war criminal's people were not going to go into Yasukuni Jinja also as a basis. It is because they were alive at the time of the end of a battle. However, by Tokyo Trial, they were judged by the enemy and died. Therefore, they are in Yasukuni Jinja.

  • The spirit of the dead of Yasukuni Jinja does not have distinction of class. They are our predecessors wholly. We think that all the predecessors of ours are insulted. Moreover, why did AlJazeera investigate Tokyo Trial was called "retreat of civilization"? The country in which the foreign army is not stationed was only Japan in Asia those days.

Japan is continuing being punished for the crime which destroyed the order based on European and American still now.

  • Ralph Townsend was written as follows. Japan made the mistake also in the Manchurian Incident or the Shanghai incident. Japan should have explained progress until it results in use of force toward the world. Japan should have explained much Chinese people's violence to League of Nations repeatedly. It is because Japan had the suffering which will be astonished if they get to know.

  • In Oct 2008, the IMF forecasted that the South Korean economy will overtake Canada in 2009

and Spain in 2011 and that its GDP per capita will surpass New Zealand in 2009, Italy in 2012,

and Spain in 2013. In 2007 Goldman Sachs predicted that by 2050, South Koreas GDP will quadruple

to over $4 trillion and have a GDP per capita in excess of $90,000, becoming the second richest

    major economy in the world.

  • This is different.

There are over 2,466,000 enshrined men and women here.

Of which, 1,068 were convicted as war crimminals.

    That's around 1/23rd of 1%.

War is a horrible thing, but if *I* was in Japan, I would humbly pay my respects at this shrine - and I am an american.

    WW2 HAD BEEN OVER.now u are free from WW2.

  • You must respect Mao ZheTong who killed 70 million Chinese.

You must respect Kim Il Song who killed 5 million Korean.

  • it's nonsense to blame only japanese.for all the people,to very proud of ancestors is a matter of course.naturally, japanese too.

  • There are universal values that are valid all over the world. Shinsa chambae is against these universal values.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes but yaskuni worshipping is not a real religion . In Germany, worshipping of Nazi war criminals is illegal but this is to protect universal values.

  • Comment removed

  • >I've never heard Germans worship nazis.

In 1985, US president Ronald Reagan and and German chanceller Helmut Kohl visited Cemetary in Bitbrug, where thousands German soldiers and 33 Nazi-SS members were buried.

  • Japs are just shameless animals.

I've never heard Germans worship nazis.

These funny japs still feel very proud of their criminal ancestors paying visits at Yasukuni shrine.

  • after all it's only emotional problem of koreans and chinese.they often say;Yasukuni shrine is bad,no yasukuni.but they don't point out any distinct reasons.Because there are no clear reason, we don't have to hear what they say

  • Anyway, Yaskuni shrine is bad,It should be at least closed.

  • I remember that, when I was young, Unit 731 was introduced by the novel "Akumano Hoshoku" (Devil's fullfilment) written by Morimura Seiichi, on the newspaper "Akahata"(Red Flag) in 1981 issued by Japan Communist Party.

Then, Chinese movie "Black Sun 731" based on this novel was published at HongKong in 1987.

Later Morimura admitted that this novel was based on materials provided by communist party and he did not checked the credibilities of them by himself.

  • that's fact prove Unit731 having no human experiment.because, if there is the experiment, the other countries except china ought to protest.

many chinese is teached wrong history to protect their government of the communist Party.

they often make japan a bad man.and justify themselves.

  • only chinese insist "UNIT 731". korean, mongolians american, english, russian, netherlandish and all other countries never protest to 731.

  • Japanese Human Body Experimentation Camp "Unit731" (1937-1945)

The Unit 731 functioned as an experimental labour for military medical research during the Second Sino-Japanese War and World War 2 in Manchuria, China. The aim was to research the perfect biological weapon with the capibility to kill thousands of people.

Not only chinese, korean, mongolians but also prisoners of war..american,english,russian,netherlandish...5,000 were killed ALIVE by JAPANESE "UNIT 731".

  • Tokyo District Court, Judge Koji Iwata declared for the first time...

"Unit 731, The deployment of biological weapons(in China in the 1930s and 1940s) was a strategic part of Japan's war plans and was carried out under orders from the central command of the army."

Pathogen and freezing experiments were the kindest experiments practiced by Unit 731.Its Nazi counterpart was almost humane compared to it.

  • SuperiorJap

Judge Koji Iwata is not a historian. He has not enough knowledge to determine what occured there.

  • Japs are much worse than Kim jongil.

Japs massacred over 30 million innocent people from all over the world.

Still japs worship their war criminal ancestors at Yasukuni shrine.

Too funny japs think they are victim when they stole lots of treasures, killed, raped too many people and experimented human bodies alive.

    Evils are better than japs.

  • SuperiorJap

Do not mix many diferent issues.

-War criminal is an agreement effective only between Allied powers and Japan.

-In China, it was war crime that over 60 years ago and China and Japan were reconciled.

-There is no evidece about human experiment at Unit731.

-In Korea, there was no war and those issues are not war crimes. Rather Japanese government tried to protect Korean people.

But threats of Kim Jung Il is right there now ! We must think about that, how to stop it.

  • so many ppl visit yasukuni.I also visit there every year, coz their is my grandfather died in 1944 at philippines. I never want foreigner to speak ill of yasukuni.

  • it's stupid to blame religion of other country.all the ppl of christian, hinduism, muslim don't accuse other religion.only korean and a part of chinese do so.

  • Only Korean behave for their emotion. Anti-Japanese campaign is the best entertainment for Korean people, becaue they don't have to worry about politic/economic revenge. In the other had, they can say nothing to China or North Korea, becuase they afraid politic/enconomic revenge.

  • MacArthur's speech

"...Potentially the labor pool in Japan, both in quantity and quality, is as good as anything that I have ever known. Some place down the line they have discovered what you might call the dignity of labor, that men are happier when they are working and constructing than when they are idling.

This enormous capacity for work meant that they had to have something to work on. They built the factories, they had the labor, but they didn't have the basic materials.

    (continued)

  • (from forward)

There is practically nothing indigenous to Japan except the silkworm. They lack cotton, they lack wool, they lack petroleum products, they lack tin, they lack rubber, they lack a great many other things, all of which was in the Asiatic basin.

They feared that if those supplies were cut off, there would be 10 to 12 million people unoccupied in Japan. Their purpose, therefore, in going to war was largely dictated by security."

  • But that does not justify the existence of something universally perceived wrong as Yaskuni.

  • xxwzaebd

    universally perceived wrong ?

No, you are wrong. The world do not claim for Yasukuni. Only China and Korea claim for it. China and Korea are very very special in the world.

  • There is actually nothing very special about Korea and China; just some Japanese are different from the rest of the entire world. There are some people who think Milosevic was a hero; there are quite a few of them on Youtube. But nobody in the international world agrees with their position-it's quite the same.

  • xxwzaebd

    Oh year ?

Milosevic was not a hero ?

Then why don't you prosecute Kim Il Sung for starting invasion war to South Korea ?

Why don't prosecute Kim Jong Il for killing 3 million Koreans ?

  • >During the last 10 years, most remnants of the Japanese era...were replaced.

But such change was too drastic and Korean people annoyed those left-wingers like as Kim Dae Joong or Roh Moo Hyun. That was why conservative Lee Myung Bak was chosen.

By the way, remnants of the Japanese era are main backborn of Korea. Actually, 70% modern vocabraries of Korean language was imported from Japanese.

  • >I've never heard Germans worship nazis.

In 1985, West German Chancellor Helmut Kohl and US president Ronald Reagan to visited German military cemetery in Bitburg together, where 49 Waffen SS soldiers are buried among 2,000 ordinary German soldeies.

Nazi war criminals accused for A)Crimes against Peace (invasion), B)Ordinary war crimes, and C)Crimes against Humanity (Holocaust).

Japanese war criminals accused for A)Crimes against Peace, B)Ordering ordinary war crimes, and C)Carrying out B).

There was NO Japanese war criminal accused for Crimes against Humanity, because Japanese never planned extermination of a nation like as Nazis.

It is historical fact. Nazi and Imperial Japan were totally different.

  • xxwzaebd

For instance in France, there is law to prohibit applause of war criminals prosecuted for Crimes against Humanity at Nurnberg Tribunal.

But there is no Japanese war criminals prosecuted for Crimes against Humanity at Tokyo Tribunal. It is the difference.

  • Anyway, it is basically the same-the war criminals in Nazi Germany or those who are dead and in yaskuni now. There is nothing basically different.

  • Nazi war criminals accused for A)Crimes against Peace (invasion), B)Ordinary war crimes, and C)Crimes against Humanity (Holocaust).

Japanese war criminals accused for A)Crimes against Peace, B)Ordering ordinary war crimes, and C)Carrying out ordingary war crimes.

There was NO Japanese war criminal accused for Crimes against Humanity, because Japanese never planned extermination of a nation like as Nazis.

It is historical fact. Nazi and Imperial Japan were totally different.

  • To the eyes of the international world, Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan are exactly the same. This is the position of the vast majority of the Western world. Anyway, our prople and society have nothing in common anymore with Japan. During the last 10 years, the remnans of past Japanese rule were almost moved out. Our newspapers and car license plates now look completely different.

  • xxwzaebd

To the eyes of the international world ?

You are wrong. Only Koreans and Chinese are claiming for Yasukuni shrine.

No other countries is claiming it. That means China and Korea are very special in the world.

  • The factis nobody likes it.This is the reality of the world.

  • xxwzaebd

After WWII, allied occupation forces planned to burn Yasukuni out.

Supreme Commander of Allied Powers occupied Japan, Douglas MacArther asked how they should treat Yasukuni shrine to a Catholic father, Bruno Bitter who has lived in Japan for long years.

Bitter answered "Every nations have rights and duties to pay respect to those who died for their countries. To burn Yasukuni is a crime, agains for the policy of occupation by allied powers."

    MacArthur decided to leave Yasukuni.

  • xxwzaebd

You may know the statue of Doulas MacArthur standing at the Park of Freedom in Inchun.

He also admitted at U.S. Senate in 1952, that "Their purpose, therefore, in going to war was largely dictated by security."

He learned difficult position Japan placed before the war, through his own experience to fight on Korean peninsula against communists.

  • Sorry,

Speech of MacArthur was made at Military comittee of US sanate, on May 3, 1951.

    You can google his speech.

"Their purpose, therefore, in going to war was largely dictated by security."

  • Then it should be closed because it is a place which "honours" war criminals. Not a good place. At least the war criminals should be digged out, cremated and then scattered on the sea.

  • Their bodies were not buried there. There is just the list of names in Yasukuni.

What is war criminal ? They were those sentenced guilty at International Military War Tribunal Far East.

Then what law was applied for the judge at this tribunal ? It was the Charter for International Military War Tribunal Far East, declared by Doublas MacArthur.

This Charter is no longer effective. Without governing law, nobody can call it crime, and nobody can call them criminal.

  • Only the legal base is San Francisco Peace Treaty signed by Allied Powers and Japan. Japanese government accepted war criminals at article 11 of this treaty.

That means war criminal is an agreement only effective between Allied and Japan.

China and Korea did not signed this agreement. War criminal issue is none of your business.

But those Allies signed the Treaty do not claim for Yasukuni. Only China and Korea who did not sign this Treaty claim for it. It's funny.

  • War criminal issue is all mankind's business. There is only one international world which exists under common and universal values. Just think why US East Coast mainstreamers don't like Japan. There is a very fundamental reason for this.

  • US East Coast mainstreamers ?

Have you forgotton Mike Honda, a friend of Korean ? He is in West Coast !

Anyway, those American inteligent people, for instance scholars in Harvard Univ., hate Japanese, because they want to pretend liberalists.

In the other hand, militarymen, like as Richard Armitage like Japanese.

Anyway they do not behave for their emotions like or dislike. They are responsible for all American people, and behave for their profit.

  • Not just a small no.of liberal East Coasters. Nobody in the world likes yaskuni war criminals. Not even Roller Coasters. They should be digged out and cremated, just like the Nazi war criminals, because they are the same.

Maybe those who think Milosevic was a hero might agree with you. But nobody likes them either.

  • Hahaha! No one ask those people in the world to love war criminals housed in Yasukuni, because they died for Japan, not for those people.

Japanese thank, and pay respect for them, that's enough.

By the way, I told you that there is no dead body of criminals in Yasukuni and it is impossible to dig them out. There is only the list of their name in that shrine. Hahahaha!

  • They didn't die for Japan. They didn't die for anything good. Nobody likes Yaskuni; the pakce would be better if a shopping mall would be built there instead.

  • xxwzaebd

    Oh year ?

    I ask you again.

Then why don't you prosecute Kim Il Sung for starting invasion war to South Korea ?

Why don't prosecute Kim Jong Il for killing 3 million Koreans ?

  • The time will come sooner or later, anyway. We do things according to the environment. As for Kim Il Sung, it would be possible to pull out Kim Il Sung's head and play soccer with it at Pyongyang Square.Anyway,Yaskuni is a joke at best.

  • xxwzaebd

It is easy to blame Japanese war criminals because they lost the war. If you want to insist your justice, you must fight against Japanese before they surrendered.

t is easy to blame Kim Il Sung after N.Korea was collapsed or defeated by Amercians. If you want to insist your justice, you must blame him now, before they lose. If you can't, you are just cowards.

  • At least our country has some offensive weapons and a strong ground force(including special force units). The fact is that the geopolitical situation is determined by the interests of US,PRC and Russia and Japan has no say about it; I heard that there is fear about NK missiles in Japan, This is not the case here. What can Japan do if NK/PRC special force infiltrate in Japan? Very little due to lack of powerful ground force. Our military is much better prepared.

  • xxwzaebd

Special forces ? Off-course we must fight and stop them. We must be prepared as you.

  • Another problem are the organized criminals in Japan which have monopolized access to firearms, just like the military and police. They may join NK or PRC special forces in case of their invasion. Japanese army is not prepared to handle such situations. Our army is strong enough to counter the PLA on ground(that is,eventually,in Manchuria).

  • Japan accepted International Military Tribunal Far East, and war criminals sentenced by it when they signed San Francisco Peace Treaty in 1952.

That means war criminal issue was an agreement only between allied powers and Japan that signed the treaty. But those allied powers signed S.F.Treaty do not claim about Yasukuni.

War criminal is none of business for China and Korea, because they didn't signed S.F.Treaty. But only China and Korea in the world claim for Yasukuni.

    It's so funny.

  • I am not attacking Koreans, becaue they are my friends. I speak Korean language and visited Korea more than 100 times.

I am just attacking liars, that's it.

  • The breakdown of the number of deaths given by Courtois is as follows:

20 million in the Soviet Union

65 million in the People's Republic of China

    1 million in Vietnam

    2 million in North Korea

    2 million in Cambodia

    ...
