The major controversy about this shrine is not that japan honors its fallen soldiers.
Every nation does that and that itself is nothing to be ashamed of or to be criticized of by other countries.

I have seen it but nowhere do they say that they were killing civilians. The first guy allegedly lined up people and machine-gunned them down but if there were executing 1000 troops, then surely a machine-gun would hasten the process. By the way, it was the international law at the time that it is legal to execute soldiers if they either do not wear military uniform or if their general was unavailable... speaking of which both Chiang Kai Shek and Tao Sei Chi both fled, leaving soldiers behind.

Yaskuni shrine should be closed ASAP. It is a place worshipping war criminals. The nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was inevitable since without it 100 million would have died in Japan as a result of bitter trench war. This video's (and many other peoples') claims that theJapanese had killed 300,000 people is a bit dubious, considering that that's the equivalent of two atomic bombs and that the Japanese only had bayonets and rifles. If the 300,000 claim was true in 6 months, more than 1000 people must have been killed in the first day. Yet no journalist out of approximately 100, despite the fact that censorship could not be established immediately, has reported the case.

Sometimes you have to face reality. Look at how much casualties both sides suffered in battles such as Okinawa and Iwo Jima. If the bomb wasn't dropped, how many more people would've die? And don't forget after germany surrender, Soviet union begin to mobilize against Japan, if US didn't make Japan surrender, what will happen? I remember that, when I was young, Unit 731 was introduced by the novel "Akumano Hoshoku" (Devil's fullfilment) written by Morimura Seiichi, on the newspaper "Akahata"(Red Flag) in 1981 issued by Japan Communist Party.
Then, Chinese movie "Black Sun 731" based on this novel was published at HongKong in 1987.

-War criminal is an agreement effective only between Allied powers and Japan.
-In China, it was war crime that over 60 years ago and China and Japan were reconciled.
-There is no evidece about human experiment at Unit731.
-In Korea, there was no war and those issues are not war crimes. Rather Japanese government tried to protect Korean people.

In Germany, people go to jail if they worship nazi. We Koreans have many things in common with Germans but almost nothing in common with the Japanese. During the last 10 years, most remnants of the Japanese era(for example, vertical writing in newspaper, corporate organization hierarchies and business forms modeled after Japanese practices etc) were replaced.

Supreme Commander of Allied Powers occupied Japan, Douglas MacArther asked how they should treat Yasukuni shrine to a Catholic father, Bruno Bitter who has lived in Japan for long years.
Bitter answered "Every nations have rights and duties to pay respect to those who died for their countries. To burn Yasukuni is a crime, agains for the policy of occupation by allied powers."
MacArthur decided to leave Yasukuni.

Only the legal base is San Francisco Peace Treaty signed by Allied Powers and Japan. Japanese government accepted war criminals at article 11 of this treaty.
That means war criminal is an agreement only effective between Allied and Japan.
China and Korea did not signed this agreement. War criminal issue is none of your business.
But those Allies signed the Treaty do not claim for Yasukuni. Only China and Korea who did not sign this Treaty claim for it. It's funny.

At least our country has some offensive weapons and a strong ground force(including special force units). The fact is that the geopolitical situation is determined by the interests of US,PRC and Russia and Japan has no say about it; I heard that there is fear about NK missiles in Japan, This is not the case here. What can Japan do if NK/PRC special force infiltrate in Japan? Very little due to lack of powerful ground force. Our military is much better prepared.

Another problem are the organized criminals in Japan which have monopolized access to firearms,just like the military and police. They may join NK or PRC special forces in case of their invasion. Japanese army is not prepared to handle such situations. Our army is strong enough to counter the PLA on ground(that is,eventually,in Manchuria).
