While its a scientific fact that men have better muscle to fat ratio and are generally stronger and faster, this only holds true as an AVERAGE. Gina Carano being a trained martial arts fighter will be able to beat-up a lot of guys. She might not be able to take out the UFC Heavy Champion but the average thug is probably no match for her.

...as for the fight scenes, you could tell that they tried to utilize Gina’s MMA skills focusing on Muay Thai, and Jiu Jitsu moves and you could definitely tell that Gina is the real deal as a fighter…but I, as a self defense expert, have to laugh when they use MMA moves to try and defend themselves from being killed. But you have to realize that correctional officers are not enraged or drugged up or intoxicated on hooch like the inmate most likely is. @Zain844 - I was making the point that martial arts training is not the end all be all and that just because a female is trained in martial arts doesn't mean she can own any untrained male she encounters in a fight. But I'm not saying it's impossible for a female to beat a male in a fight. It's very rare but it can and does happen.

Kiefer Sutherland is only 150lbs yet everyone finds him believable as Jack Bauer despite the fact that he's almost the same size as her. Many Asian Martial art stars are pretty small (Jet Li Bruce Lee Jackie Chan etc) yet everyone finds them believable as action stars.

What makes this really unrealistic is if you take a look at any Special Forces or Black Water type organizations there aren't any females (that I know of anyway, maybe a few). Why is that? Because this type of work takes strength, emotional stability, toughness and that general killer instinct that men possess. There's a reason women aren't mercenaries or special operators.

If women ever do get into the special forces it will be because the military will lower the standards for women to get into it while keeping men at their current standards. Any real soldier watching a Bruce Willis or Stallone movie will laugh and tell you that he's not even holding the rifle correctly and he's probably right. It's a movie stop being so asshurt, if you want realism, then go join the army for real.
You will find one man beating up 10 men more realistic then one woman beating up one man lol

That's why movies like this come off as fake as shit. They could have made it more realistic if she used seduction to kill a guy in his sleep. It's just fake seeing her beating up males twice her size in active fights. Of course it's just a movie and realism is obviously not the message Hollywood was aiming for here.

A movie like that is realistic but once again, why do men always have to be the cannon fodder for a female protagonist to kill off? Why not other women or why not have a man kill off hordes of evil women with his strength or intelligence? That's the double-standard I'm talking about. Society just couldn't stomach it. Since most police, military mercenaries etc are filled with men, so of course a female soldier is gonna be fighting mostly men. and of course it would be much more realistic for women to be fighting other women.
