your gyro is ok its just your bolt that are a bit too tight thats why the frame want to spin to and it turn on the bottom bolt other then that your gyro is perfect ...
Ah, one of the key elements of the Inertial Navigation System (INS) ~ tracking lateral & forward movement of an aircraft. If you know where the airplane begins its' journey, it's speed, forward & lateral direction (regarding of altitude) you can keep track of exactly where you are, anywhere on the globe, without the need for external references.
the two axis should not be spinning that's what the ball bearings are for aren't they ??? the flywheel should spin on itself you might have torque which is what gyroscopes are not meant to have ??? please say if i am wright or wrong
so sick of these chuck norris jokes. if he is so badass he will show up at my house and shove my head into the keyboarfvcddsfghjkfgjkm,l;.khydfskolbv
i wish i had a lathe and some bricks of brass and aluminum pipe. some way to tap holes....calipers...some bearings...nuts and bolts..............vice grips......a spinning rubber tipped dremel thingy.....a work bench....oh how i wish.
Truthfully this is a incomplete Gyro. a Gyro has 3 forms of Fluid motion, 3 rings that have the ability to spin independent of the others forming a platform that is Stable from Pitch, roll, and Yaw
@garethop that happens in perfect cases, when the angular momentum and the angular velocity aren't paralell it happens that, YES angular momentum conservates but This particular phenomenom Is called Precesion. It's why seasons exist
@MuseRSMV you have to take into consideration that there not be any lubricant near or he has no lubricant pump. and dry cutting can be a better finish than cutting with lubricant.
@TheMathedis Unlikely but perhaps a better finish, a basic spray coolant would make his and anybodies tools last a lot longer, and also make future cuts have a more constant finish.
@MuseRSMV I'm using a carbide insert tipped parting tool. It doesn't need much lube and the smoke is coming from the cutting oil I sprayed on previously.

How much could you sell me one for?

Very nice! I think it'd be fine on its own if it had a rounded tip for the bottom(?)

doesn't a gyroscope mean it spins on 2 axis? This seems more like a cool looking spinner
garethop 5 months ago 5
@garethop Look at all the videos on the right. I don't see many spinning in 2 axis, I guess they are cool spinners also..

pulse motor + gyroscope = ufo

you should make a dual counter rotating gyro with electric engines attached.
0-I I-0 <---looks like that.

does the axis spin to or just the wheel thing?
SamuelSlowMotionTV 7 months ago
@SamuelSlowMotionTV The axle and the flywheel spin. There are small ball bearings in the axle supports.
apowellz 7 months ago
If you put it on one side horizontally, then it has the same gyro affect

You should of used lubricant when using the lathe. Wear down your tools very quickly without it.

@MuseRSMV some tools require not to put oil or coolant on because they can heat up and cause the tools to overheat therefore giving a worse finish.

@AdrenalineBoy1011
Yes is does. Thanks.

More than off balance...it has too much resistance on the friction points...some ball bearings would do the trick.
Apart from that, nice craftsmanship. ^^
How did you atached the side half rings?...
