Nice vehicle, but at $28k before options, it's too expensive. Seems to me the goal of carmakers was to get you in the door by offering cars you want at prices you can afford. Has nothing been learned? Still, I love Ford. :-)

I sat in one of these the other day, It caught my eye since I'm looking to buy a scion xb. I liked the looks and the interior. The only thing that bothered me about it is the way the door skin tucks under, creating a ledge on the inside of the door.

This to me is asking for rust down the road, its a ledge to hold salt and other road debris. Now, me being someone who owns their cars forever this is a concern. If i were to lease it, i wouldnt care cause it looks pretty good. scion copy or not.

i cant say ford is bad tho cuz i drove a fusion V6 and it had alot of power and i was kinda shocked how nice it was compared to the old taurus

I drive a 2006 Freestyle and it has been such a great car... I had a lexus 470 (too much gas) and an 2004 Infiniti M45- what a piece of crap the electrical system was... the car used to lose the gauges al the time and i would need to turn the car off and restart. never had any problems with the freestyle and now I am leasing a Flex. I have it on order and will take delivery in late August.

The more I look at this car, the more it appears as a good buy, it is functional without sacrificing too much. The only thing that is a turn off is the price. I dont expect to see big discounts on this vehicle in 2 years time.

Let me assure you that this car/CUV will be LOADED with incentives before the end of 2008. Ford will be FORCED to, because the price of Gas will not allow them to sell even one shift of production without it. If you like this car, and want to buy one, I STRONGLY urge you to let them work the Year 1 bugs out, and save $5K on the 2010 model (they'll be available in Feb, 2009. THEN compare with Asian offerings..
