Game looks pretty cool, but its still just a game. I have to admit it. I'd much rather ACTUALLY race my 93 Subaru Legacy wagon that PRETEND to race a Ferarri Enzo. Or a Formula car, for that matter.
I don't like the axial play (shifting left and right) of the tire exhibited in the first run, and the lack of sidewall deflection is kind of upsetting, but it looks pretty good overall. I'll have to look into iRacing.
Again, good call on the music--not every day you hear a Hybrid soundtrack.
You sir are WAAAYYY wrong. iRacing is a mature, serious professional RACING SIMULATOR, not a game, not a toy. iRacing is in it's own category, it is one of the only "state of the art" Sim Programs (not game) that exists to the public. All other superior Racing Sims cost hundreds of thousands and are EXCLUSIVE to real pro drivers. Like the F1drivers, Lewis Hamilton uses them, and the Sim he uses is exclusive World Class engineering. FYI!
You still can't learn to be any good behind the wheel using even the top level simulators. Driving is about feel - simulators don't have very much feel. Simulators are good for race craft, learning tracks, possibly mental imagery supplement, and maybe a little bit of tuning theory. A sim is better than no track time at all but I'd rather have 10 real life practice laps than 100 simulator practice laps. To me, everything I've driven virtually is still "just a game", including iRacing and beyond.
there isn't really much lacking from the suspension of LFS from this... However the tires are still terrible. Hopefully that will be fixed in the Sirocco. It's the price paid for programming your own tire physics model XD
partially it's because of the differential though. every drift set i was sent had like 70/80/180 or something similar. weaken the diff and the tires feel slightly more realistic.
I know Iracing doesnt have drift cars (well not ment for drifting) but lfs tweak isnt what im talking about. Im asking for them to do an update where there are axles or at least a pole or something that holds the tire on instead of an inviable axle and all. The setups/tunings dont do anything to the visual of the car otehr then like camber and all that.
Hey...i was talking to my m8ts on lfs about iracing...it's obviously better than lfs but...they said it costs a lot...please...could you tell me how much u payd for it?
VER FUNNY, this is not iracing, it's real you cock

no visible tire deformation, but you can bet your house on the tire physics algorithm being very complicated. it feels great to drive on iracing :)
freeman537 1 year ago
Is there any physical tire deformation? There definitely is no visual tire deformation.

@theranster9 yes, only physical.

It's a simulator, not just a game. Never tried it though, I'm playing LFS.

thats what you think guy, play the game yourself and see how hard it is to drive these cars Currently the best simulator in america.

i should have bought an Iracing licenses instead of a LFS licenses. the tires are really killing the gameplay.

Good news there is a comprehensive tyre physics update for LFS coming in 0.6A, (in a test patch for Z version before that anyway).

lfs is more realistic...
Marty008cz 2 years ago
err no its not, i play lfs and have played i racing, they spent around 20 million dollars in the physics, and lazer scanning cars and tracks,,,
g25racingnerd 2 years ago
nfs spends millions into the game too and it still sucks ;)

Dunno, still waiting for Lord Scawen to fix the soap tires when drifting.
MrTeeh 3 years ago 2
Mmm, well im kinda still waiting for them to fix the invisable axle's and stuff when you steer and look at whats behind the tires.

The sirocco is for racing ppl. Im a drifter. We like it to be for XRT, RAC, FZ5 pretty much all the cars.

lfs tweak =p
