Saw both in a hotel parking. The M3 just doesn't look like it fits the landscape, but the Audi RS5 does as it still turns more heads. In terms of aesthetic, the Audi wins it + it fits all seasons with a much comfortable interior. No disrespect, but if you like drag race or racing generally get the M3 or GT-R to the race track.
Liittle bit odd... What does the M3 compare to RS4 or RS5 make up your mind! The Audi is I would say for a beginner or somebody who cares about laptimes, and not being able to spin it easily, the M3 is a true drivers car, with a roaring engine, rear wheel drive, its a bit more for the better driver, as the back end likes to step out a lot. out of all the reviews BMW always come top with "Fun" being the winning factor, but if it where my money, I would buy a Nissan GT-R :)

It used to be that BMW was a car for assholes, but now Audi driver's are the biggest assholes out there! They're so keen in defending their Audi's. @krvillotti Interiors are a matter of opinion, and I think both the BMW and Audi engines are equally good. BMW's is more of a high revving motor, while the Audi's has more mid rev torques. And I personally, I'd take a RWD over an AWD any way. It's one thing to be fast in the corners, but what's the point if you're not going to have a little fun with it? Going sideways in a corner is much more enjoyable than just zipping through it.
I disagree with the last comment, this is the best car Audi makes period. The R8 is good but the RS 5 is a practical every day car with a kick just like the C63 and the M3, you can race it on the track but take the kids to school.

@refuse54321 The TTRS is available in the states now? I like the TTRS, the only bad thing is that i heard the american versions will not have launch control, which gets the car to 60 in a crazy 3.6 seconds, full second quicker then a 1M, and the quarter mile in 11 seconds. My S5 has launch control and hopefully Audi wont get rid of that when the RS5 comes but you never know. Personally, I think the RS5 is a better looking car overall, its a real head turner, TT can be on the girly side.

It used to be that BMW was a car for assholes, but now Audi driver's are the biggest assholes out there! They're so keen in defending their Audi's. Personally the reason why I love BMW's, mainly the older ones, isn't because they're fastest out there, but because it's a true driver's car. I don't want AWD. I rather go sideways in a corner. And if you've ever driven a BMW, you know how great they just feel. It has a certain balance and feel the car has, that I just don't feel in other cars.

Audi Keeps the Competition Alive and are a serious competitor for BMW and Mercedes. If BMW and Mercedes are to get better, they need competition from Audi. Thats the way it works. Audi Engineering is just as good /Competitive as BMW and Benz, and combined with the influences of Bentley, and Lamborghini with the RS and S models make it a winner. The trouble is, Audi is too Good for most of you Audi Haters. The Audi is reserved and made for people with fine taste and an appreciation of quality.

@seanzal - actually VW and Audi respectively has influence over Bentley and Lamborghini... its no coincidence. Bentley was stagnant and Lamborghini was falling apart. Remember even the Bentley Speed 8 that won at Lemans a few years back was an Audi R8 under the skin.

If you equip the M3 with the same features as the Audi, the Audi is barely more expensive. Plus you get a much more luxurious interior, better built with better materials, AWD, and a better engine. No doubt Audi is dominant over BMW

As far as being better built, I would have to disagree,any german car is well built but BMW's are built to last considering all they make are BMW's (and the occasional mini lol). Interiors and a superior AWD system go to Audi hands down, but when it comes to overall engineering Ill take a BMW anyday.

@krvillotti Interiors are a matter of opinion, and I think both the BMW and Audi engines are equally good. BMW's is more of a high revving motor, while the Audi's has more mid rev torques. And I personally, I'd take a RWD over an AWD any way. It's one thing to be fast in the corners, but what's the point if you're not going to have a little fun with it? Going sideways in a corner is much more enjoyable than just zipping through it.

I disagree with the last comment, this is the best car Audi makes period. The R8 is good but the RS 5 is a practical every day car with a kick just like the C63 and the M3, you can race it on the track but take the kids to school.

I don't think in the video the RS 5 has beaten the M3 and I don't the RS 5 will beat an M3 or a C63 on the track. But it is a practical car.

@MrFrankieFiggz i have 2010 s5. and i am getting the 2012 rs when it comes out. 0-60 is definitely not the same. dont even mention the s-tronic. and optional ceramic brakes. s5 is a great car. but rs is really another level. i am in the states and have been waiting for it so long.

I was just skeptical on the 0-60 because audi was claiming the RS can get to 60 in 4.6 seconds but i have launch control in my S5 and it gets to 60 in that time but i was looking at comparison tests and the RS was getting to 60 in 4.3. Do u have urs pre-ordered?

@refuse54321 The TTRS is available in the states now? I like the TTRS, the only bad thing is that i heard the american versions will not have launch control, which gets the car to 60 in a crazy 3.6 seconds, full second quicker then a 1M, and the quarter mile in 11 seconds. My S5 has launch control and hopefully Audi wont get rid of that when the RS5 comes but you never know. Personally, I think the RS5 is a better looking car overall, its a real head turner, TT can be on the girly side.

@MrFrankieFiggz i just went to an audi dealer today to test drive it. omg that thing is brutal. it is so much fun. i also like the rs5's exterior, and see many girls driving the tt. but i think the rs is more aggressive. i was really really impressed by it's performance. only problem is that they gave me bad trade in value. my 2010 s5 prestige with only 6300 miles on it. they only offter 48000. I will have to think again - -.

Just for ur info i would check the RS5's facelift they gave for their new A5 models. They told me they will only give me 44000 on the trade in, and no loyalty rebate. last time they told me the price difference was around 25000, today is 31000. I was going to make the deal today. I am really pissed off.
