You don't see Nintendo make a Mario game completely 8-Bit nor do you see SEGA making a game completely 16-bit despite the shit you retrofags put SEGA through. Look at Megaman Universe, it uses 2D but the actual character is customizable to make it interesting and you can create and edit levels to.
