i actually respect what wilpon said. He has said what we (at least me and my friends) as mets fans have been thinking all along. We know r team isnt good but at least he has the balls to say it so we know he isnt blinded into thinking the mets r good and that he should just keep on doing what he has been doing. At all i actually like him more now.

Madoff and the 'Wilponzis' have been bbfs since high school. There are allegations that the Wilpons were getting 0% interest, no collateral, no anything 'loans' from the Madoff family outside of their 'investments.' That's what a lot of this suit against the Wilpons is about, to examine their records to see that they may have been benefiting massively from Madoff's crimes for 10+ years. The Mets have been run on this money for years and speaking as a Met's fan, it's a disgrace.
