  • wooooooooooooooooowwwwwwww

  • Wow! Hmm hmmm hmmm!

  • One of those incredible "TV moments" I will always treasure! This song is pure poetry.

  • My God, this is wonderful.

  • sheryl>shelby.

  • Great Song From CD "The Globe Sessions" :)

  • They make a beautiful couple

  • sheryl rules

  • Gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it... expecially when I taped it live..

  • Two criminally beautiful women singing a criminally beautiful tune. Who says crime don't pay?

  • Two fantastic performers at the peak of their abilities.Neither really matched the corresponding albums of the time this performance took place. But what a legacy, even this performance alone is spine tingling.Always wish I had recorded this so thanks for the upload.I'm sure this is the ceremony where Shelby said"thirteen years and six albums and I'm best newcomer!"

  • The clarity of their harmony will send tingles down one's spine.

  • One of those rare, magical moments. A stunning song. Two extreme talents. Pure harmonies. Magic.

  • Amazing!..

  • Amazing performance!!! I love the combination of Sheryl Crow and Shelby Lynne's voice. Amazing song written by Sheryl Crow for her album "The Globe Sessions" which is one of the greatest albums ever!!! "My Favorite Mistake" is also on the album.

  • this is what music is supposed to be.

  • I remember feeling stirred to the core while I watched this. This is probably the only performance from any celebrity award ceremony that I actually remember where I was and what I was doing when I saw it. Hearing these women sing makes one believe for a moment that God (or maybe the gods) touches people and bestows a gift on a few. Beautiful. I think Shelby was under the influence of a controlled substance, though. She REALLY bombed the teleprompter reading after the song.

  • This song just blows me away. Like Stevie Nicks, Sheryl is an incredible songwriter / singer in a way only she can deliver. So talented. A true soul from the old school.

  • sheryl crow justs get better and better...her new cd is the bomb....and doyle brahmell is her guitarist now:)

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG, 1 OF MY FAVOURITE EVER SONGS ..............

  • I LOVE THIS PERFORMANCE...SEXY ASS HELL!!!!

  • I wish that Sheryl Crow was still this good.

  • There's another video with Shelby and Allison doing "Going Down" and she looks kind of Butch. lookin' pretty hot here. Cheryl always looks good.

  • They should form a new group called "Class & Trash".

  • thats awesome

  • I WISH SHE HAD MADE A VIDEO FOR THIS SONG BECAUSE WTF

  • Spine-tingling performance aside...do you think the little N'Sync guys at the very end even understood/appreciated what just took place?? @_@ It makes me wonder; more so, it makes me laugh!!

  • All I can say is "WOW" ... love this song and these two ladies together are fantastic. Love Shelby's sister, Allison, as well.

  • correction...shelby lynne fan since 4july2001 the night I first heard "killin-kind" one of my very very favorite songs of my entire 45 years of life!...thankyou shelby!

  • honestly...i have every single shelby lynne album but never wanted a sheyl crow album...and this video demonstrates why!...maybe I'm just the "killin kind!"shelby fan since 4july2010

  • Shelby Lynne has always had an incredibly powerful voice. Great performance here!

  • I happened to see this when it originally aired and was impressed immensely by that performance. Have always remembered it. You can tell Shelby likes the song for she's singing it with conviction with that little "yeah' at 1:38. Both women do a fine job of complementing each others voice.

  • Another great duet found on YouTube. But like Emmylou Harris, Shelby would never be caught dead in a dud of a duet. Always a winner.

  • Damn near pitch perfect. Fabulous.

  • Great job on a great song. Wonders how Shelby poured herself into those pants. She should do the lipstick look a little more often.

  • Shelby might be wearing a "sexy" outfit here, but she looks totally tame compared to the way most mainstream female singers dress these days. Besides, she's a serious singer/songwriter and she normally doesn't dress that way.

  • GREAT,10**********

  • great final this excellent song! love sheryl !

  • who cares how she's dressed? if you're focused on that, then you're obviously not listening to the song. therefore, what's the point of watching the video? this song is incredibly and the women singing it are incredibly talented. leave how she's dressed out of it.

  • *incredible

  • Two very powerful women belt it out. But Shelby is something here. Beyond amazing.

  • I love this performance since I was 16 and watched this at the grammys. Loved it...

  • I remember watching this I think around 10 years ago and thinking WOW. It gave me chills and as a dude...I don't like to admit to that too often!

Crow is a brilliant song writter and performer.

Will we ever see a performance like this at another Grammy show? Doubt it.

The likes of Brittney and the computerized "music" and the lip sync generation has taken over

  • @ericcarter74

Black music has taken over. Who would've thought little white boys would prefer rap style music just to fit in with the "cool" crowd. There are a couple of decent musicians out there...but for the most part todays music is full of nonsense.

    Shameful.

  • @RapIsDeadly I remember this Grammy performance 10 yrs ago and it made me buy the album, the one I still have. I remember Shelby Lynne (who I had never of before) coming in and giving me chills on this performance. I also find the beginning of your comment mildly offensive, seeing as I am a Black Southern Woman who loves all music, but sadly true. "Black music" hasn't taken over. Not real black music..you can't even hear good, true musicians on the radio anymore. But overhyped crap...yes.

  • @babybkesha

Old motown is great...spinners, Ojays, earth wind and fire, Temptations, Pendergrass...etc are incredible. This was REAL music by very talented people. I dislike the direction of which music has gone. Even the rock bands today don't hold a candle to the pre 1990 bands.

I like all types of music myself...everything except rap and opera. I don't like the rap "culture"...I truly think it is destroying kids.

  • @RapIsDeadly I have to agree. I love Doo-wop, Motown, Pop (from the 60s-90s). I even love rap. Real rap: like Talib Kweli, Dead Prez, Common, Mos Def. Folks who get no airplay because they are communicating real issues, not just in the black community but all communities. I think music in general is vapid, assembly-line BS and most kids now are missing out on real music. I agree that today's "rap culture" is nothing but trash by money hungry studios. Its an injustice to rap's original purpose

  • @ericcarter74 no. not ten years ago.

  • Shelby takes that song to another level - an incredible performance!

(Never seen her dressed so "femme" before; I didn't realize how much she looks like her sister)

  • Errr...Shelby doesn't need to TRY to look hot - she just IS. And she sings better too.

  • does shelby look HOT here or what..... pppffffffff

  • My favorite Sheryl Crow song hand's down. Best lyric, "There ain't nothing like regret to remind you you're alive." Beautiful Performance. Thank you for posting.

  • My favorite lyric, so true!!

  • Check out Shelby Lynne's Killing Kind video. I've loved her for years. She is incredible live.

  • will we see anything even close to this at another Grammy's? probably not...

  • Probably the last time I watched the Grammy's and these 2 ladies killed it. Great great performance.

  • I remember seeing this on TV when it firsrt aired and was impressed. I'm still impressed.

  • wow, that is just awesome
