To the people saying this video is boring and unnecessary. I found this video interesting, and somewhat informative. I am in College too so I have heard this kind of stuff a lot. A suggestion, instead of calling the video boring, why not soak the info in because this may be an opinion but I think most people in the youtube gaming community lack this information.

What is with this BS from SONY fanboys about the XBOX 360 gimping games this generation the 360 has a better GPU and a more usable CPU for game development then the PS3 the PS3 can only be taped fully by a small number of dedicated developers making games with the PS3 as the focus like SE with FFXIII and FFVersusXIII, TECHMO with NGS2 and Kojima with MGS4 and the first party developers the only difference is the optical media and they are using multiple DVD9 discs for that .
points to the fact that the definiton of a monopoly is a "exclusive control of a commodity or service in a particular market" meaning limiting your options of what you can buy from that market (points to windows) where as the previous playstations dominated because of consumer preference meaning they had the option to buy another product but choose the ps2 and ps1 :)
eh wrong PS2 had a 76% market share causes many exclusives it gained most of it's marketshre by being a $200 DVD player in Japan when $4000 DVD players were present it also bought many exclusives and not only that but sony also convinced sega to leave eliminating early competition. The PS2 has the highest amount of exclusives ever due to deals made with companies the hardware was difficult to program for but Marketshare made it necessary it was also the weakest hardware of that generation.
And what did you think bottle necked games last gen? the Xbox was twice as powerful as the PS2 a large gap than that of the 360 and ps3 and the GC had a more powerful graphics card and processor hell the dreamcast had 4 controller ports and modem things the PS2 had to have as Addons which are now industry standards.
I was just looking at the hardware differences between PS2 & DC from what I have seen DC had more scope for game development then PS2 but needed DVD to be successful in Japan but as a gamer I pick systems for the games I wont to play not not because I like one console manufacture over another.
yes multiplats were top notch on the original xbox (ironic) but the exclusives that took adavantage of the hardware were only bested by games like halo 2 i have yet to see a last gen game that had animations like ico and shadow of the collossus
