  • your comment was unnecessary Silasd3d this site is for the appreciation music not your sideline warped comments fine some peace

  • I love this song...plus I love the photos. Nina is one of my favorites, full of passion and heart.

  • That someone flagged this concerns me. People are getting too extreme/conservative nowadays, imp.

  • love it...................;

  • I so love your name.. I laughed so much when I just worked it out.. x

  • Comment removed

  • Exact;y, just enjoy them both... :)

  • Absolutely legendary tune... love this, blazing fire, pink champers nice rug... quality times. Such passion in this song :P

  • I love this song. While listening I came across Joe Cocker's version. Simone adds sensuality, and some pictures here reflects just what that is. Cocker's so painfully awesome as well. Difficult to decide which is better. But thank you for sharing.

  • why would you have to decide?

  • Marilyn manson covered this song.. always wanted to know the original!! no wonder even he said this song was too dark for them... its practically suicidal... love it!!

  • Perfection!

  • this song in nina´s voice takes me to another dimention, a place mixed between love, lust and sadness...it´s something else...beautifull...

  • Yeah, that sax could melt butter!!

  • I so much love love.

  • stunningly sensual song x

  • The pictures look like they are from a calvin klein catalog

  • What a stunning voice and beautiful song. The photos are quite tame and rather romantic.

  • i love this song

thats right i put spell on you

  • jesus ... but gun-toting videos don't get flagged, i take it? bring it, nina!

  • what a passionate performance of this song!!

  • youtube should really check and see what videos are being flagge dinstead of letting people get away with shit like always

this is a wonderfuly video and theres nothing wrong with it at all

  • Nina Simone In Concert (live recording, 1964), Simone for the first time openly addresses the racial inequality that was prevalent in the United States with the song "Mississippi Goddam". It was her response to the murder of Medgar Evers and the bombing of a church in Birmingham, Alabama, killing four black children. The song was released as a single,

three days after the murder of Martin Luther King, Jr. She dedicated the whole performance to him and sang "Why? (The King Of Love Is Dead)"

  • What idiot flagged this video?

  • My thoughts exactly. An extremely prudish one at that.

  • @anchoragemark some self thing bastad

  • stunning! what a timeless and beautiful voice.

  • would make an awesome bond theme

  • just what i was thinking

  • god I wish they would go back to the old bond style!!! you know cool gadgets, evil vilans with crazy killing methods, and exotic chicks with sexy names

  • The previous two Bond films have been rather good though. But I do miss Connery's days.

  • perfection

  • very good!

  • wow what a gorgeous voice. and I love the video, its so sensual just like the song!

  • i agree, shutup about racism and just enjoy the song and her voice. like Enheduanas said, make your own, more diverse, version if you care that much.

  • and btw (sorry) you did a great job amorepop and the song .. her voice .. lordy, lordy, have mercy .. she's incredible. much love in new year all !!!!

  • are you 'haters' for real .. sheesh .. it's a sensual song and all the photos .. black white japanese white white white are very sensual. please ALL 'bitchers' get off the color card....it's getting damn old.

  • awesome video and song. dude good job.

  • Finnally! I found this! I was wanting this for months! and thanks to the new YouTube system, it sucks trying to find somthing on YouTube.

    THANK YOU UPLOADER!

  • This is the sexiest video ever!! :))

  • Amazing voice. First time I heard her.

  • uhm... why all the white people. why nothing but white people in this clip? and i dare anyone to say what i'm saying his wrong when there are NOTHING BUT WHITE PEOPLE IN THIS VIDEO whose sexuality is being facilitated by this Black woman singing. I would flag it just for that crazyness.

  • Why not make a reply to it, using smooching people from all over the world, surely that'd be a better response?

  • I know exactly what you mean. I was on a bus in Bradford yesterday and I felt like a DOMINO. Why don't you go watch Planet of the Apes?

  • It's a totally valid complaint to say that there should be a lot more diversity in the clip, especially considering who Nina Simone was and what she stood for, but flagging it is a ridiculous response. Also, the sexuality is not being FACILITATED by a black woman singing. The video suggests that the images depict the sexuality of the song, not that a bunch of white people heard the song and suddenly jumped each other's bones. Your argument is overdrawn and this video is already overcensored.

  • pura fantasia!

    eternamente Nina Simone!

  • WHO the hell flagged this? I mean seriously. Wtf is that all about.

Anyway, I love this song. <3333 So sultry and timeless.

  • *smacks forehead*

Lord. I just realized that the VIDEO is the reason it's "not suitable for minors," lmao. I've been listening and not watching it. :T

  • lmao thats quite funny actually :P

  • great video. even greater song.

  • romantic but meaningful

  • A black magic woman singing a black deep song.

    Wonderful!

Thank you for this amazing pictures.

  • Please - I love this song, but lately the filter at my office won't play it. Someone please post a less sexy version so I can hear this during the day. Thanks!

  • Bliss....

  • i love this version.

For a second there i though that was Ray Charles....."i know better daddy"

  • wtf! i sorry it was flaged! Whaaa! It's romantic. what's so bad about that? =/ really awesome video though. i love it.

  • ESPECTACULAR!

  • A wonderful sensual voice! I love this song!

  • Never before have I seen a more beautiful video such as this. I've been searching for a better version of this song but, I did not know that it was the lovely voice of Ms. Simone. Such passion and power she has. It is as if your'e watching still photos of Adam and Eve in a erotic passionate way. True enough that love can almost never end. Thank you for this beautiful video. Pure genious. Such a pleasure to watch. :)

  • Infectiously POWERFUL!!

  • This song is sooooooo potent..."...and i don't care if u don't want me...i'm yours right now!" how deep and desperate and bittersweet is that?! I love it. It's like, she's in control but she's not. The original was a bit wierd for my taste, nothing as sexy as her version. Video was EXCELLENT. Kudos!

  • she's super kool! my father played bass for her for this song

  • Ive allway's wanted to know who played sax. Ask your dad for me please. For me the sax part is the best i love it!! I had this tune when i was 18 i'm 60 now and still play it.

  • ah! bring me back those old days!

  • OMG that is the voice of a god!i love this song!i first heard it on hocus pocus.lol

  • That is real music.

All these new school "artists" better take notes.

  • foto e musica da sogno......oh,I love it

  • Arthur Brown did a great, insane, version of this amazing tune.

  • Tim Curry did a pretty good version also.

  • He wrote it.

  • i loooooooove this song.

  • Gosh what an amazing song :) and her voice ...

  • very sexy! amazing! :D

  • Very Nice Song.....

  • I agree with so many of the comments here! SUCH a soulful performance I dont' get tired of listening to it, such passion, such pain is transmitted through her voice and the lyrics and that saxophone penetrates your skin. Simply amazing!!!

Was this song originally for her? has it always been a Nina Simone song?

  • Screamin' Jay Hawkins did the origanal in '56

It has a crazyness about it, i personaly enjoy it better than this although this is still an amazing song.

  • So much passion... She was singing for the eternity. Pure life, with both joy and sadness altogether.

  • I have to wonder if she's doing scat cause she couldn't hit the notes.she's a great singer,I would have loved to hear her almost scream the passion the lyrics suggest

  • nina simone voices touchs the soul, aretha sang sass and church, nina simone sings from the dark corners of the soul and at times there was light in her voice, she is a legend unmatched, talent came from places unseen by soul.

  • @retsefinam:just was thinking - before reading your comment - WHAT and how she touches my soul.you camo exactly to the point. when i take p.e.great "ella"... she was always positive and the light, nina in comparision is really the dark and painfull side.. thatfore was i surching and bringing to words. nevertheless... highest class!!!!!unbeatable still!!! love eva

  • NINA SIMONE

    the voice of the century...

hear her at the song sinnerman

  • amazing voice :)

  • i dont mean to sound offensive but she sounds like a man...good voice tho

  • lol its tru alotta great female voices were deep and masculine aretha can hit some manly notes her damn self. lol

  • nice song but weird with these pictures

  • This song gives me goosebumps!

  • * L@VELEY SONG *

  • the original is still much better

  • saw her at the Royal Albert Hall before she died, she was amazing

  • Nina Simone! legend! x

  • pure class

  • timeless!

  • There's just something exceptionally classy about this

  • i was just watching the color purple the other night.. and i feel like whoopi goldberg would make a good nina simone if they were ever to do a movie about her. anyways, this was the first song i ever heard by miss nina simone. and it remains my favorite.

  • Nina Simone isn't that ugly, damn.

  • this sorta music can never go outta style. love listenin to it wen im lyin down alone with nothin ta do. listen ta nina simone- feelin good

its jst the best song evr

  • gone are the days when this music ruled...

gone are the days when people even had the attention span to listen to an entire song...

for those who like the beatles, they based their phrasing in the bridge of "michele" off of this song!!!!!!!! by this lady, the incomparable nina simone

  • This is really hot. This Mama has been around many years now and is such a class act, simply top drawer!!

  • she's dead now, actually, son. where have you been?

  • I bought this track 30 odd years ago and i never tire of it timeless! And that sax! anyone know who it is?

  • Thank you for posting this . It took me a moment to compose myself and find my manners .

  • lol

She put a spell on you ;)

  • i love it 5 *

  • Awesome version...

  • other then the daddy reference this song rules

  • Huh?

"Daddy" was what women called their men in the South. Men often called their women /wives, "Mama".

Some of that has carried over into Northern langauge.

Ever hear the phrase "hot mama"?

  • Jesus, she's so good it's inhuman.

  • nina simone is on top of everything else in the whole freaking world oh my god it makes me sick listining to all of the music that is suppossed to be all the hype and even i have begun to believe that that is what musik really is

well this definately is one hell of a wake up call

    rest in peace nina baby

u live long through stuff like this

  • just WOW, amazing!

  • Magnificentt!

  • nina is absolutely flawless, RIP

  • "i don't care if you don't want me/ i'm yours right now."

    this song rocks.

  • extraordinary!

  • Yeah!!

  • absolutely great song. Who ever linked this song with this video should be deported to the diamond mines in South africa.

  • Probably the most deliberatly brilliant, lovely song ever. Sorry if there are spelling mistakes. First class lady. First class song.

  • I love Nina Simone's voice. It is absolutely mind blowing.

  • damn good

  • sexy voice, distasteful video

  • i agree compleatly and was thinking exactly this while watching/listening.

  • wrong spelling. "I put a 'spelll' on you"

  • Huh?

  • there is only the one.... nina simone. Thank god, nature, whatever that you`ve existed on this planet one day!!!!

  • jesus, I'm bowled right fucking over. I'm not only moved by this woman, but won over.

  • Damn!!!!this could have been the greatest bond theme at all time, if only they used this. I thought it was from bond movie specially when you hears the

    intro.

  • When McCartney played the song Michelle for john Lennon, Lennon suggested the "I love you" bridge. Lennon was inspired by a song he heard the previous evening, I Put A Spell On You by Nina

  • wow. speechless.

  • Yeah it does sound like a Bond theme, especially the start.

  • Ive loved this track since i was 18 and that was a long long time ago!Anyone know who the sax player was?

  • thank you Nina for this!

  • a great version , what a sexy sexy voice ty 4 the post

  • How good would this be as a Bond theme!!

She is the definition of class act!

  • I agree this would have been probably the alltimate Bond theme song. I actually thuaght it was from a James Bond film. Also Lil Wayne does a great job with Misunderstood, another great from Nina.

  • I hate how people over use the word "awesome."

Makes me want to hit things, you know?

  • I love how all the nude pictures don't look perverted. It is truly hard to make it not look pervy.

  • yeah does sound like feelin good in background but screamin jay version is more scary to me than sensual like nina's probably tht screamin jay vid was scary as a whole

  • This is great, fab song & video... well done.

  • this song sounds like it might have been taken from the musicle which nina covered feelin' good from

  • Feelin' Good is from Roar of the Greasepaint Smell of the Crowd, but I Put a Spell on You is a Screamin' Jay Hawkins hit.

  • This is one of my favorites of Nina's...

Thanks for bringing this here !

  • Only Nina could do it this way

    AWESOME POSSUM!!!

  • She sounds like the one and only NINA SIMONE!
