  • @ MARDLtransmit: It's great how your Hero Pulp Essay- videos manage to capture exactly, what makes these pulp novels so fascinating! I keep watching them over and over again! Thumbs up for the good work!

  • @Raubkopictures Thank you very much! I haven't been able to do one in a long time because of work and home responsibilities, plus I've been writing pulp of my own. I will return to doing them eventually.

  • @MARDLtransmit Ah, that's cool! What's your pulp going to be about? Is it going to be published?

  • @Raubkopictures Thank you. It's about a Doc Savage type of character called Challenger Storm. It should be published sometime early next year by Airship 27 Productions.

  • @MARDLtransmit Sounds good. I wish you good luck and success!

  • Is there somewhere I can read these online?

  • @BandakaKush I wish. I know that reprints are available from Adventure House.

  • Hey, not so sure why it took me so long to get to this one. Sure some weird stuff going on there. These guys all deserve movies, and not just "how goofy can we make it" movies, like poor Doc got stuck with.

  • Yeah... And I had such high hopes for pulp movies when Sky Captain came out. :(

A moment of silence for the cinematical horror that is George Pal's "Doc Savage" movie.

  • I remember that G-8 showed up in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: The Black Dossier. Another character referred to him as "bonkers". I don't know the character that well - did he mad or is this a reference to the outlandishness of the G-8 series?

  • I think the reason he was referred to as "mad" was because he was always talking about the crazy things he came up against in the stories. Giant flying heads, dragons, enormous spiders... I guess that unless his fellow soldiers saw them too, they'd think G8 was off his rocker.

I've only read 2 G8 stories myself, and have yet to read any storyline where the weirdness wasn't explained as some clever illusion. I know the crazy ones are out there, so I'll keep on reading them...

  • My god, those stories look absolutely ridiculous, but in all seriousness I wouldn't want to fight a giant spider so might as well leave it to G8.

  • The ridiculousness is one of G8's selling points. They get nuts!

And yeah, spiders... I don't like 'em, especially BIG ones. G8 can have 'em!

  • Excellent! Your best so far. The only criticism is you need to make the URLs bigger in the credits so they can be read with the red on black.

  • Thanks Doc!

I agree. I'm working on making the clips clearer, but so far, no luck

  • Good job as always my talented bebes! :)

  • Thank you, pickles! :-)

  • 5/5 as always!

  • Thanks, bro!

    Taco!!!
