@kg6rpi hey man im in ROTC at Alabama, thanks for this video, it had a lot to do with my decision to join. This is a stunning tribute to all our servicemen past present and future, thank you. God Bless you and our country.
I've wanted to join the military for the past 2 years. When I was enlisting I blew out my knee. At twenty-two year of age I have finally received my wish. I will finally get the chance to become a United States Marine. There is nothing I would rather do. I look forward to the day I get to join the ranks and defend the greatest in the world.
Fantastic, but it doesn't compare to the trio of girls who sang this song for Timberline High School Choir's first concert of the year. They were truly beautiful.
being a wounded soildier from iraq myself i love this song and all the support that ur giving us we wouldn't be alive today without the support of the usa so i thank u and i would just like to say SEMPER FI
David, that is an incredible video! The song is so moving, especially to us veterans, and you have honored what Trace was singing with your images. Very well done, Soldier! Thanks so much, and God Bless America and it's brave men and women who choose to wear the uniform!
I would like to also thank my husbands cousin doug johnson for writing this powerful song....and we all should say a prayer for peace so our sons and daughters will return to us swiftly and safely
Thank you for compiling this video, it's WONDERFUL. I heard this song only once during the ACM's in 2008. Thank you for your service to all of us and for preserving our freedoms. I am the proud sister, aunt and niece to a few of our countries finest who get the smallest amount of recognition. Be safe and God bless!

This is such a powerful song...and the West Point Glee Club sounds fantastic with Trace. God Bless to all of our fallen heroes. Your sacrifices will always be remembered. Please come home safely to our troops who are still out there stationed away from their families.
goodbye skippy, died last summer fought in korea and was one of the 14 american survivors on bomerang hill, he lived with the nightmares of war every day and experienced some of the worst things a man could see, we'll see you in heaven skippy
God bless the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for the country I am proud to live in. I have served in the Navy for almost 18 years and it is songs like this that remind me of why I serve. To Cliff, James, Homer, William, George, Joe and Charlie, I owe everything I have to you.
The sad reality of this world is that the last shot will never be fired, but as long as our troops and soldiers fight for peace against the evils of this world perhaps they can make a new reality for us all...
@kg6rpi Thank YOU for being willing to accept a hero's lot - to sacrifice and suffer for the sake of so many who may never even know your name. And thanks to you and your club for adding the final piece to this song's power. I just read a review of this song saying that it was like you represented the very souls of America's fallen soldiers, reminding those who carry on that they can't go to Heaven until the guns go silent for the last time and we vanquish the true enemy: war itself. *salute*
Man i love this song, I first heard it on the CMA's and it gave me goosebumps. God bless all the men that have given the ultimate sacrifice for us through the years. I plan to go to college through Army ROTC, and things like this make me that much sure that I'm doing the right thing.
Song is such a chiller!!!!! Great Video man. I heard this for the 1st time live on TV with the Marine LT. ooorah to all the Marines out there...love you guys....Everyone that has served or is serving god bless you make it back safe...
@cadet1364 I list the sources at the very end of the video. I got in contact with a couple of organizations who sent me CD's FULL of images. Most of the paintings were from the Army Art Collection.
I was told about this song last night from a Marine vet. I cant believe i didnt hear it before now. It brings me to tears. I am leaving in the morning for afghanstan and this song just makes me proud to come into the ranks of the many of the men and women who have fallen to make my dreams come true. I hope i will make them proud with my efforts in OEF.
Take care of yourself over there. Not a day goes by that I don't pray for my comrades overseas. My unit from before I got accepted to USMA is over there for OEF right now too.
I heard this song for the first time tonight and WOW I got chills, the words are sooo powerful, Im also currently in the army and this song is gonna be played at my funeral, its that powerful, Thank you for being a part of this song!
As a member of the Patriot Guard RIders, I have stood in flaglines and ridden my motorcycle to escort soldiers who are being deployed, for returning soldiers and for KIA's. I stood as my own brother was laid to rest, a Navy Korean Veteran. This song and video takes my breath away. Thank you for helping to get the word out, you did an awesome job. God bless our military brothers and sisters.

I wish this could be played every day on the radio many time so we don't forget the sacrifice the men and women have given. I hope they all come home save and very very soon.
Beautiful song, Crystal clear lyrics and filled with emotion. The imagery was well chosen and powerful. I will use this as a link in a blog of Honor stories I maintain, as well as in an email I am about to forward. The email is from a young Texan soldier in Afghanistan. He told us this song has an immense impact on our young men over there. Thank You for a great post.
Good to hear the full song...I have the album, and the song moved me the first time I heard it. With family that fought in WWII, Desert Storm, and Iraqi Freedom, the military means a lot to me. Me and my wife were sitting in the car listening to it, and thought the song was over when it paused before the glee club came on. When they began to sing, my wife began to cry. It was amazing. Fantastic video, and beautiful song.
Super! Great tribute to all who have fallen for freedom, those who defend it and those who are preparing to fight. And nowhere is that spirit more alive than at West Point!
This is a amazing song and video...because I just joined the air force....and I'm proud to serve my country...
