His routine is huge, but in event finals, it comes down to hundredths and thousandths. I saw a few form breaks, especially on one of his hop fulls I believe. If he can clean this up, get a stuck dismount, he could medal tomorrow.
In spite of the harsh comments, he deserves to be among the top contenders in this apparatus, he will come back to grab a medal, hopefully the golden one.
All his pirouettes are late, and he catches all his releases at the bottom. He did a much better job of keeping his feet together on the Rybalko, but he flexes his feet on ever stalder/jam. There isn't anyway to compare this to what others are doing especially Kohei who kicks out! I think that score is fair. Watch his angles, .1, .3, .5--remember it is when the hand touches the bar. His first pirouette is almost a .5 deduction.
ITA. All of his pirouettes are very noticebly late, and he finish them at 45. angle. Thats major deduction. The judges seen to be hammering all those handstand and pirouettes for both men and women this year
