This one time I went to Scotland. It rained non-stop and was freezing cold. Everyone is overweight and has false teeth. All the men are transvestites and the women look like men. I was attacked by a swarm of midges and thrown out of a pub for saying that the Loch Ness monster didn't exist. Everyone is constantly drunk and there is a very high level of MS due to the horrible weather. I couldn't sleep at night due to the constant bagpipe noise. I am never going back.

This isn't condescending at all. If you had to come here and look this up then you obviously have a concern about how you'll do the ticks.
You have to keep in mind that this video will be seen by first time voters as well as some elderly people, add to that the fact that we haven't been voting for our own parliament for a long time and that's your answer as to why she makes it so simple.
Elaine C Smith wouldn't know how to be condescending, she's a nice woman and a good laugh.

It may seem patronising, but shes good at comedy so it would be daft for her to do this all serious. Why not have a laugh as well as avoid a lot of spoiled votes like we had in recent elections, including those cast for the Tories; a wee bit a satire there for ye ;) lol

great stuff Elaine...as for Scotland & Mr Salmond - we're staying put....I think north of Hadrian's wall are the people who need the sub titles, as some folk south can't even pronounce -little or kettle- let alone spell it.
