  • Okay, this was my first keyboard when i was younger! any chance you still have it for sale?

  • @josiesophia We build the machines, film videos and list them on ebay. We only own the machines for 10 days and then they get shipped oot round the world. This was built in 2007 but we could build another one for you.

  • I love it you are one of the rare performers who truly tries to make a musical performance with one of this circuit bent machines. So many time I hear this maddening sound noises that just begged a question, can you truly make any thing artistically musical out of this noise machines. And you have given me hope beyond any doubt that with a musical ear you can create some fascinating electronic music. Thank you, Electronic Music Composer and Pianist ObeeLektro

  • @ObeeLektro Thankyou for your comments and for contacting me about my work and machines. I have a strong background in writting and performing electronic music, I first recorded as Interlect 3000 many years ago and spent many years performing on a 20K sound system that I built by hand with a good friend of mine. The tables turned when my girlfriend was expecting our first child. We basically had 9 months to create a business that was associated with our joint passion of electronic music... S-CAT

  • (cont.) this was a Bad A** beat , I gonna converted it to MP3 format 4 my iPod

any Y-Tube audio can be converted I do it to add audio to my videos and for my iPod while riding my desert toys

    Cheer's from Az . usa .

  • @lolahavasuaz Excellent, hold tight and don't go too high, the frequencies may affect any aircraft that may be nearby. Arron

  • Damn ... I was bust'n a move to this groove here , blame the alcohol ...

  • sounds awsome :D!

  • You can add jacks that separate out the drums, melody and bass/chords.

Then run each of these separate outs to home-made effects like ring modulator, distortion, octaver, etc. In the end you get the same sound only much cheaper!

  • @rbwilliams1 Cheaper than what? If you had a homemade fx on each out then it would cost more, maybe? Perhaps it would be better to bend and have sep outs, then you would get even more variation to the sound.

But your idea would also need a mixer to then blend the sounds, so it would work out quite expensive in the long run.

  • Reminds me when I got my Casio synth :)

  • Sweet variety of percussion there...

  • Thankyou for the comment, Have you seen our latest machine? The Casio 10-Mod VL-1.

  • I'll have to check that out.

I have an old MT520 that I'd like to have fixed up like this one, that would be very cool..

  • So that's how they came up with those 80's porno soundtracks.

  • Yeah! We are hoping for a revival so that we can licence some music out.

  • awesome demo

    actually musical

  • Thankyou.

  • what do you mean by chord/bassline vca?

  • VCA= Voltage Controled Amplifier or Volume if you want the simple answer.

  • I understand what a vca is I've built many different vca's but where are you demonstrating the bass/chord vca in this video? Are you sure you are controlling the amplitude with voltage? If so, what is the range 0-5v?

As far as I know, the chips that generate the amplitude/filtering in casios are mostly digital FM, only a few actually have voltage controlled parameters, VCF's I've never seen one that is a vco, vca, vc adsr etc etc.

  • We are not trained technicians here and are using the VCA description to explain the end result, which is volume. If you could explain a different way to us on what is happening then we will use that information to explain to others in the future. We just took it that being an electronic instrument that it would be using voltage to control the amplitude.

  • What time frame in the video is the vca being demonstrated?

  • Would it be fair to say that we could describe the modification as (CCA)Current Controled Amplifier? If that is the case then by adding a resistor to the flow then this would then be a VCA. The resistor in this case is the potentiometer and variable. Not sure if this is right but it could be.

  • Nice sounds like a Sitar

    Great Job!

  • I've seen quite a few bends, and this is the sweetest one I've seen yet...

  • nice machine never seen that one

  • We have lots of machines in the pipeline and a bunch for sale on ebay now.
