KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, only airline to fly ALL Douglas commercial aircraft types, including the rare DC-5, still flies MD-11's in PAX configuration today.
I have been in the cockpits of many different aircraft (commercial) and I'm 13. The pilots let me test all the systems and this one time a passenger freaked out. I have never been on an l-1011, md-11, or dc-10 but i really want to.
The third engine is on the right wing. The second engine is in the vertical stabilizer on the top. The first engine is on the left wing. The MD-11 is a Tri-Holder. Tri=three:)
