You should bust out a ohm meter and measure the resistance you have on the pot. Then just buy a resistor or combination of resistors to match it, so you will not need the pot.
Grappig verhaal. De av famicom heeft een iets afwijkend audio pad. Hierdoor is de exp audio te luid. In dit geval is het niet te horen omdat de powerpak het geluid iets anders opwekt. (en mengt.
Ya, try another converter. Castelvania 3 has a chip that needs a certain line hooked up correctly. If it doesn't it'll f-up. You ARE using the ntsc version of the game right?
No nes games do not sound better on famicom. The famicom carts contain the audio chip. Therefore playing on a famicom a nes game wil sound exactly the same.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's a potentiometer, and what is it for. I have an AV Famicom, by the way.

A "potentiometer" is a variable resistor. A volume knob is an example of a potentiometer.

Hi I have a RGB modified AV Famicom... the Powerpak won't load correctly... is it because of the RGB MOD ?

Either you're using an unofficial clone. OR your import adaptor doesn't connect the lines right.

Judging by your acount you're using a real av famicom. Try another import adaptor.

It "emulates" (not really emulating but the term wil do) the extra audio chip.
