If you guys who are disagreeing try watching Atsuko Wakai och Rika Usami do kata you should be able to clearly see the difference.

I dont like that competition Format of Kata,..... Overdone unnatural Muscle Tone and exagerated Postures,... too mechanical in my opinion.
Problem i see here is that the guy somehow has to leave an impression on the judges and do something different so he ends up with a pretty mediocre Kata display.
Kata arent for competition, folks should do Kumite instead which isnt for competition either but at least is fun to watch and the participants can get some learning experience out of it

Nice kata. He's a champion. It is really hard to performe katas, it's not as simple as many people think. You have to work pretty hard. It´s not like dancing, it's so much harder than that.
MY GOSH! I wached this and I almost fell out of my chair! I compete Nationally and travel all over the world and all but Suparinpei isn't a very popular kata... sad thing is it's one of my favorites... However this guy did it beautifully! ^_^

it is shiko dachi, not a horse stance. Toes are not pointed straight as in kiba dachi. I don't think goju has a horse stance.
