When is an opinion considered fact? You don't even know him personally. Did you know that President Obama could have had a lucrative job on Wall Street but chose to work for a lot less money helping under privileged people? That doesn't sound like an arrogant person to me at all - my opinions of him are based on such facts.

I never thought I would see the day my country tortured innocent people or use warrantless wiretapping against Americans. I could give you countless examples of crime in the Bush admin from firing attorneys to outing CIA operatives. Obama has yet to have time to reverse all Bush has done but he's trying. Closing Gitmo is a very good start. How can you have served & support the deaths of our troops based on known lies??!! Explain that to me. I do know about loving my country and I hate Bush Inc. Obama is intelligent & has surrounded himself w/people that are "qualified." Everything his cabinet does is transparent for us to view. I think he made good choices. Just think, Phil Gramm(R) wrote the deregulation Bill & was McCain's financial adviser. Had McCain got in the very man who collapsed the Swiss bank, was involved w/Enron' scandal, & helped break the world's financial system would have been the same person to fix it. How terrifying is that??

I understand I wouldn't vote for McCain his choice as VP was the main point why I knew he was lost, I'm not saying Obama is not intelligent but the fact that everyone is from WALL STREET is a bit weird, is he for the people or for the Bankers? as far as we all know, Bush had impact on our crisis but was these BANKERS from WALL STREET that got us into this crisis so for Obama to put everyone that helped in the past years to cause the crisis in the white house makes me concerned.

Geithner was confirmed as treasury secretary by a 60 to 34 vote in the U.S. Senate -so they believe him to be highly qualified. Geithner has been credited w/foreseeing some of the complicated problems arising from the opaque & unregulated credit default swap market, a web of private insurance bets that could be worth $30Tn. Hank Paulson was the CEO of Golden Sachs -no one complained about that until they wanted a bailout & he raced to give it to them.

Mark Patterson will serve as Geithner's chief of staff at Treasury, which oversees the government's $700 billion financial bailout program. Goldman Sachs received $10 billion of that money.

I don't know much about Patterson. However for the first time in history, Americans will be able to see on-line where the money is being spent. It's transparent and I think it's President Obama's way of keeping track that it goes in the right places & is in fact accounted for. No more secrecy!

Maybe is too early to take conclusions on his admin. but some of the things that made him win this election "like bring the troops home" he already changed his mind and not only he doesn't know when he is to bring them home, he is sending another 30K soldiers to afga. increasing the amount of soldiers out of our land. I guess the best thing to do is to sit tight and wait before make any assumptions and see in two years if we got better or worse.

Are you are of the colossal mess in Iraq? We have completely turned the country upside down -and to just leave? The Sunnis would all be murdered by Iran & the insurgents. We need to kill laden & crush al-qaeda -then get out swiftly. The Iraqi people need to form their own gov, make their own legislation & secure their country -this was why we had the surge but none of it happened.

You have understand that we can't stay forever, Al-qaeda we will never crush they have ghost cells all over the world, How long would take the Iraqs to forme a gov.? we were there for about 4-5 years and still? Also middle east way of life was always batting each other for hundreds of years, we are not going to change anything staying there in fact we just make things worse and easy for the enemies to target our soldiers. This is a mess that can't be cleaned, this could last hundreds of years.

Well we should have never declared war on Iraq & we've been there for 5yrs -we can't afford to continue. The surge was to bring peace so that they could form their own gov & secure their own country which in fact failed -you never hear that in the news! Yes we basically threw a rock in a hornet's nest.

So by letting them deal with the situation that they were used already for hundreds of years and pulling our troops home and save billions of dollars on a monthly bases is the right thing to do, they don't want us there. I think Obama said in his campaign what we wanted to hear now even thou is just a few months in power he is already breaking some promises. Like I said I voted I like the way he speak and I count with those changes that untill today he is not doing it and are breaking them.
