@humbleRaj According to eminent linguists, Telugu is not a direct descendant of Sanskrit. Telugu is a Dravidian language derived from proto Dravidian, while Sanskrit is Indo European. True.. Sanskrit has a lot of influence on Telugu, as we speak it today.

No resemblance to Pyasa story at all .. This is the story of a soul entrapped to live up to expectations of the society but still wants to break free and fly in the direction it wants.. Charectrization of wife is not bad considering that she is only a traditional wife as opposed to being radical new age wife....The story is not about her .. i would not want to compare her charecter with that of Shabana Azmi in Arth...

Hej; This is not about the director I think...Its exactly from the great Story of Meghasandesam by Mahakavi Kalidas...he has followed a smal epic of the great kAVYA....!

I do agree that not enough importance was given to that character and was not enough justified...but at the same time, INSPIRATION IS THE STEPPING STONE FOR SUCCESS, that he couldn't get from that poor wife, its a pity
