it looks like a mixture of a centophore (comb jelly) and a starfish.

Here 's the solution: it's not a Starfish, but it is an Echinodermata too. It's a Comatulida, a mobile Crinoid ( sea Lily ). A lot of sea Lily are attached to the bottom of sea by a stem

Nope. Not a starfish I don't think. Starfish live on the bottom of the sea, right? This is really feathery when you take it out of the water and is always floating on or near the surface.

hmmm. ya got me then. Now I want to research it and try to figure out what it is. Very interesting though, wish I could have seen it in real life. Cool video of it.
