i think kyokushin (not too sure if im spelling it right but u get the idea) got the most realistic kumite idea the only problem is that there are no punches to the face this is lyk my old club kumite one of the reason y i quit it ... u can hardly learn proper karate these days anymore its all competition wise and nothing for true self defence - kinda sad to turn such a martial art into a mere sport ...
