Mark Webber still running F1's after such four big shunts (this Spa one, his Le Mans with the CLR-LM, his 2003 Interlagos and 2010 Valencia)... the balls of this guy must be the size of basketballs...
He is pretty quick to know what the car is going to do.
Once second he is trying to opposite lock trying to counter the drift and somehow realizes .3 seconds later he has no chance so he turns the steering wheel to the right in hoping to sorta "J-turn" and keep the vehicles away from the wall once it starts moving backwards. Didn't work out but impressive reaction nonetheless.
Boring arguements and debates that dont stop... From a clearly innocent Mark Webber crash vid to "Mark Webber is an asshole" to even "Oh Alonso is faster than Massa".. Weird people out there..... Anyway gonna be neutral. Just glad Mark Webber didnt really got injured. I wonder which vehicle that steering wheel came from...
it all started at the trough of the two hills. the car bottomed out and he lost the back end at 160mph. hard to control that with barely any steering lock
I live in Belgium near Spa, the right corner at the bottom is called "L'EAU ROUGE", it means in english red water, the top of the hill is called "LE RAIDILLON", peoples says that it is "une pente raide", a steep corner, like the top of a moutain. The next flatout corner is Le Kemmel.
i know what youre saying but i have to agree with oqver and the others he lost it coming out of eau rouge, he was still fighting it and he wasnt entering the right place for raidillon... he'd have crashed anyway

look at most finn drivers, calm, cool and usually realists, gronholm (ok he was a rally driver) was almost placid and rarely optimistic, still won a world champ tho..... (maybe 2 my memory on WRC isn't great)
To even call Alonso a shit driver probably proves you shouldn't be giving your opinion. If every driver were given an equal car, my money would be on him.
Your money would be on Alonso if everyone was given an even car?
Aww.. C'mon the only reason he won the WC twice was because his Renault was faster then anyone elses... Not to mention his team-mates where crappy drivers, not good enough to challange him.
I mean, look at Alonso, his ass got kicked by Lewis on McLaren, and it was Lewis's first year driving! Not to mention Alonso is getting pwned by Felippe Baby this year...
@Spartan117FS Kimi was strong in 2005, and Schumacher was on form in 2006, too - both blindingly quick drivers, and in cars that were definitely no slower than the R25 or R26. That's QUALITY opposition he saw off to take the championship. His first year at McLaren was a disaster, for all involved - there were bad moments for both drivers, and they both finished on 109 points when realistically one of them should have been champion.
You realize that Massa has not blown up 3 of his engines.
He did no crash his car in Monaco (Alonso was the only one to crash in fri practice).
Massa did not fail his qualifying the last time either.
Although Schumi got disqulified, he still owned Alonso on the last lap in Monaco.
I'm not a big fan of Massa, I hate him... Just saying that he has done better and been more consistant... Alonso is in front of Massa because he got 25 points for the win, the old system would facor Massa.
@Spartan117FS Ok, being realistic - VERY little separates the top drivers. We know, on his day, Webber can be unbeatable, but you could say the same for pretty much a quarter of the field! On raw pace, there are days when I like Kubica, days when I like Vettel, and of course days when Hamilton just looks super fast or Button makes everything look easy. My original comment so long ago now was a bit rash, but, everything being equal, i'd still put Alonso a HAIR in front. Call it personal opinion.
@dragon2712 Alonzo is a fast, ruthless driver - he also makes mistakes so who knows. All you can say with absolute certainty is that as a human being, he is a waste of sperm and egg - it was a sorry, sorry day when he dropped out of somebody's asshole!
@puddingpants7 I made that comment one year ago :) Hamilton has since proved that he's matured into an excellent all round driver, who probably shades Alonso at the moment - but I'm hoping Fernando regains top form before the end of the season, because it will make for some excellent racing!
@dragon2712 O true. He was in that renault last year. he really put his skills on display even though the car sucked. I still would have said Hamilton though, he won two races maybe could have won nurburgring too with the dog of a mclaren. Well Both guys did some amazing things in their chassis last year. Alonso's attitude seems to hurt his relationships with teams. I guess Ferrari is the perfect place for him lol. At this point I just like seeing red bull behind everyone lol.
Well, he had an equal car to Hamilton (a rookie in F1) in 2007, and look how that ended. It was the Senna/Prost situation all over again. Though Prost had style.
Alonso is a modern day Nelson Piquet. Winning races, through cruising and collecting them as the opposition runs into mechanical trouble.
If all had equal cars, I'd say he'd finish 4'th at best. When it comes to raw pace he was never on top. When it comes to racecraft he is in no way comparable with the all time greats.
@McLarenMercedes That's a fairly typical mclaren fanboy comment. I would never undermine Lewis that way. The top six or so drivers on the grid are close to the best field the sport has seen for some time, I just feel that Alonso would come out on top, although Hamilton could take that title just as easily.
@kartdriver92 you're a retard. 2001 is the only year that he had #1 in f3000. that is the super nova livery. mark webber drove for super nova in 2001. is that convincing enough? or do you need more proof?
In my opinion he is. I have never liked him. I'm not a big Massa fan, but I prefer him more than Alonso. And Raikkonen, Button and Hamilton are the best!!
Mark has more experience than Vettel, yer Vettel is good and can win a WC, but Mark has consecutive point scoring this year. Go Red Bull and GO MARK!!!!
Your statement about him having more experience is true, but then shouldn't he be quicker? If you are going to talk about experience, you make Mark look worse as Vettel is quicker with less experience.
Webber has finished above Vettel in 8 out of 11 races, and Vettel has had a handful of DNF's this year too. Sebastian is a great driver, a nice guy and he has loads of potential, but he needs to learn how to pace himself and look after his car.
v ery similar to villenuves one in 99 in the BAR, you cant do this at eau rouge anymore they resurfaced it and reprofiled the corner its still the same but theres not the risk of going off which made it such a challange and risk for the drivers to take it flat
He's had some big shunts and lucky escapes. Eau Rouge claims another but lucky its a happy ending this time. Reflexes !!! Cant tell if the Webber ripped the wheel off in disgust or its come off in the shunt.
Most do these days, though this wasn't an F1 car, it was F3000 (I think). It's gonna hurt no matter what, but better not to break your hands or arms in the process...
And he threw up at Fuji in 2007

No it is Radillon.
Eau Rouge is the name of the corner on the bottom of the hill, when they start to turn right up the hill.
But Webber is off at the TOP of the hill, when they start to turn LEFT and this corner is RADILLON.
The next corner, light right hander is Kammel, just like the straight it self.

yeah, but entire complex of corners is commonly referred to as 'Eau Rouge'
