Ahhh, Deathevn. I spent way too much time on you. I remember I skipped the part where you get Anfini without even realizes and spending hour long battle trying to kill him. I forgot if I checked the internet or started the dungeon over to find out what I did wrong.

Wow, this brings back memories. That Anfini sequence must be influenced by Earthbound's prayer sequences.
Also, it just cracks me up that when Ryu thinks of his friends, they're all in separate little hotel rooms. Shouldn't they be like hanging out or something? The single most antisocial group of heroes ever.
At this moment, you have to mash buttons to continue with this last sequence.
I didn't know that as a kid and it traumatized me for 6 years because I thought it was an ending... That's the main thing I have against this game...
the other thing is that the secret elemental fusion thingies (besides fire and wind) were a little too hard to find them all without cheating. I think I found the dark one on my own... but the water one? That was just wrong.
The switching to battle for the running scene was what I loved about this game, using battles as cut scenes... The moment Ryu broke out of his hold and begun walking toward him, to the moment he used Anfini were some of the most epic SNES moments lol
