"What's stopped us is the failure of leadership, the smallness of our politics - the ease with which we're distracted by the petty and trivial, our chronic avoidance of tough decisions" This from a guy who voted present over 130 times and is running America into the ground? America now knows he isn't serious.
Exactly Hiei2k7: As a republican voting Obama this election, and just visiting the Capital in Springfield. I feel this is an amazing time, and a time for America to finally heal itself from the policies of old! :)
The thing is, what America doesn't know, and that we from Illinois know, is that this man is as real as what he says.
He's walked door to door in FARM COUNTRY ILLINOIS, not just Chicago where every politician in IL sits for 364 days going for votes and attention. He's been to Rockford, Peoria, Champaign, East St. Louis, Cairo, Carbondale, Moline/Rock Island, even small places like Mount Carroll and Chadwick IL...
i really wish people werent like that, that they just cheer and scream for anyone who's popular and/or appeals to them. we have a word for that: sheeple. it really shows a lack of respect when a man is about to make an important announcement and everyone just cuts him off.
he's got my vote. just promise me to change this world my freind, i see something in your face and eyes and for the first time in a long time i beleave in a politition that is going to do the right thing.
